This propery is not for you. First, while most worldwide hotels let you cancel in the 24 or 48 prior to visit with no penalties, they have a 2-month policy. Like if they were a 5-star hotel that needed months in a wait-list to get a reservation. If you make a reservation, and it's less than 2 months away, please be aware there's no way to cancel it without penalties. In my opinion this is a scam, and as a costarrican myself, I am ashamed of the illegal and dirty practices some places have in place, to take advange of foreigners. Second, it's impossible to call them to request a cancellation. Even Expedia tried several times, with not being able to contact anyone. Before making a reservation here, read all reviews and how bad all visitors speak lately of this place.

The cook was wonderful. The room was unsightly. The food was great. The pool was nice. The shower was gross

The location was not bad. It was run down. Upon arrival there was no soap and kitchenware was incomplete. The fridge did not work and the safe didn’t either. The Mattress was flipped on the wrong side, and the furniture and windows were dirty. The bath and toilet was run down and stained. The toilet did not flush often ( easily clogged). The cutlery was incomplete and the boiler was not connected for hot water. It was hard to get immediate help to fix some of these issues. Exchanging towels was a daily challenge. The balcony was useless as there were no chairs and there was an ant nest hanging outside. The street leading to our rental unit was very steep and had deep holes. Parking was very challenging due to poor road conditions and very narrow. Pool could have been enjoyable if it were not for the run down chairs and the scarcity of towels. I would definitely not come back to this place nor would I recommend it to anybody.

The only good thing about this place was the property was very quiet and situated in the forest, which offered opportunity to hear/see the birds and howler monkeys. It was in walking distance to the beach and there was even a secluded beach that we pretty much had to ourselves with great snorkling. However, Unit 28 was run down and needs a good cleaning and fumigating. Dust and dead bugs on the light fixtures, stains and cracks on the walls, dirt in corners, ant infestation in the bathroom, ripped screen, air conditioner that worked for one day, hot water occasionally, broken chair and dirty chair cushions. The one outside plastic chair ended up breaking when it was sat in. The bar/restaurant was never open and the pool water was cloudy looking.

Good location by a nice beach. Beds are good, sofa bed is kind of old but it’s okay. Cooking is difficult bc microwave works well but the electric burner takes forever to heat up & isn’t very hot. Shower is big. Toilet works good.

Agreed with other reviews... the property in general is beautiful but needs serious maintenance, entrance to the front desk had dirty floors, dust on the table, terrible and loud music by the pool (although staff was willing to turn the volume down so we could hear each other and enjoy the sound of nature. Room was spacious, little kitchen was nice but there were stains on the toilet with poor water pressure. A neat- clean bathroom is a must in my opinion. Hope property management pay attention to these conditions.

Bad directions on the Expedia website to the hotel. Hotel room was advertised as 1507 sq ft, but it was about 400 sq ft. Water pressure in shower was terrible, closet doors didn't work properly, etc.

Very quiet and restful. Junior suite had a pleasant size.

First of all i have to say the staff was pleasant. The room once you walk in looked beautiful. The disappointment was the sofa bed that had food crumbs when you opened it didnt sleep no one in it. The very dangerous part of all was the bathtub in which they covered a broken whole. When you stand you felt the tub sink right in the middle. Very unsafe and not happy specially when i had kids with me on my trip. I was very mad and furious and couldnt believe i spent my money on a unsafe place and felt like leaving. Me and my husband told the staff they moved us from 1 room to the other but i was already upset and ready to leave. Glad we left at 7am from that place.

The staff were really friendly and helpfull. The bigger guy with all the tatoos was very kind and helped with everything and spoke really well english. Rooms were a bit out dated but still pretty nice. Lots of stuff to see near by. Playa del coco was very close and a great place to see. Over all a great first experience in Costa Rica
