Borthalan Hotel

We had a very enjoyable stay. Margaret and Martin were very hospitable. There were appropriate arrangements to manage COVID. E.g staggered breakfast times, masks worn by B&B owners, social distancing adhered to, hand sanitiser upon entry. Location is perfect and just outside of st ives so you can escape the business. But can get to the centre of St Ives by a beautiful 30/40 minute costal walk or three minute by train (B&B 3 min walk from station). Would definitely recommend and would stay again

We received a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room which was lovely and had the perfect view of Carbis Bay. Hotel is well situated with a short walk to the Bay. Would recommend.

Lovely spot on Carbis Bay with lovely sea view. Clean and welcoming rooms. More of a B&B though than hotel. Good value for money too. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Brilliant location for both Carbis bay and St Ives. Easy access to cliff walks. Has amazing garden to watch sunset from Wonderful hosts.

Had the most fantastic time in Cornwall, made very special by the hospitality of Martin & Margaret at Borthalan House. Could not have asked for better hosts who were very helpful at every opportunity, cooked a great breakfast and were even thoughtful enough to give us some aloe Vera for my burnt shoulders. Would highly recommend Borthalan House - a great location, great place with a special charm made by great people.

When we arrived at the location we were warmly welcomed by Margaret and Martin who run the place. They are two very friendly people who made our stay there very welcoming. The view of Carbis bay is amazing from the front garden. We found our room nice and cozy. Breakfast was served on time and it amazed my wife and I that they both run the whole thing by themselves. St Ives is quite hilly but the exercise is good for you. Carbis bay beach is only a 10 minute walk from where we stayed.

Very friendly hosts. Comfortable room. Great location for getting bus or train to explore the area
