Pier House

What a gem of a hotel this is, located on the harbourfront in Charelstown. Staff were warm and friendly especially the breakfast team. Speaking of breakfast this was superb and one of the best we have had at a hotel. Room was lovely and spacious with a peek of a sea view. Bed was so comfy, large sitting area with a proper coffee machine fridge with a couple of free Korev's. Bathroom was large and clean with an amazing overhead shower with combined removable showerhead. Overall a fab stay and no doubt will be back in the future

Great pub hotel right by the harbour and coast path. Some of the rooms are a bit small but they are well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious.

The Pier House is a place of outstanding value, The staff are welcoming and engaging. You feel valued and respected. We booked a meal on the day the menu had changed. Rowena and the team gave full explanations of the new menu. The food was presented beautifully and courteously. A wonderful experience.

Charming setting right on the habour. The hotel is clean and bright, the staff were so friendly. Room very comfortable with all necessary amenities. Had a drink facing the water - when I enquired about local rums the bar staff offered me a tasting. Had a good meal with friends. Prices very reasonable. Would definitely return.

The room was clean in excellent condition with a spacious bathroom. There was a mini bar with some free drinks and some payable. We had a sea view and it was very quiet. The restaurant was amazing food and the free breakfast was also amazing. Would love to come back at some point. Would re ommend this for a trip to the Eden Project and we even went out on a fast boat ride with Seafari and had a trip to the Austell Brewery.

The shower was tiny and the room doors slammed shut. Staff were really nice. Menu choice could be wider. Bed really comfortable. Too many steps up to room and so many doors. Great location close to the sea. Excellent breakfast.

This place is absolutely incredible, as we were shown to our room the view from the windows and the room itself actually brought tears of happiness to me wife......the room was perfect, from the huge comfy bed, the snug seat overlooking the harbour a wonderful unsuited and complimentary beers in the fridge. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive to everything you could need and nothing is too much trouble for them and they helped make the stay perfect. The bar and restaurant are also amazing, the food is fantastic and the drinks equally good....if I could give this place more than a 5 star rating I would and I will definitely be back

Our 2 night stay, whilst walking the SW Coast Path, was lovely. Staff were exceptionally friendly. The rooms were great - good size and nice high ceilings. One was a harbour view, with a window seat, plush sofa and great shower room. The other was a classic, dog-friendly room - also spacious, although no view and the hard floors were noisy for dog claws. But both with comfortable beds and furnishings. We ate in the bar area, which was dog-friendly, and as staying guests were offered the same service as restaurant tables, which avoided queuing at the bar to order. Food was good - well cooked, varied and breakfasts were equally tasty. Fresh milk and complimentary lagers in the fridge were a nice touch - including a dog lager! We would certainly stay again and would recommend booking a room with a view, if not restricted by pooches.

We had the very great pleasure of eating in the restaurant on Saturday, it was quite busy which I think is always a good sign. The food was absolutely delicious, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were a joy. Eat the Cornish Sole, cooked to perfection, and my son had the Crab, delicious. Couldn’t fault anything and if I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular!

The Pier House is a delightful pub on the harbour in Charlestown, and the discrete set of stairs leading out of the dining room doesn't hint and the high-quality rooms hidden on the upper floors. They appear to have been recently renovated, and for a country pub were excellent quality. A large comfy bed with a big TV, a separate area with cupboards and a table, and a very roomy bathroom awaited us! Breakfast is served in the pub restaurant and is cooked to order. The pub does pretty decent food, and also seems to own the new pizza place right next door. Free car-parking is available in the car park for the Rashleigh Arms hotel just up the road. Special mention to the staff who were delightfully friendly, even escorting us to the room and showing us around as we checked in.
