"At least it was sunny"

Nearly £90 per night with no breakfast. Hotels in Torquay significantly cheaper. Double room was two single beds pushed together. Clean, neat and tidy but not amazing. Location next to main road noisy, fridge making a lot of bizarre noises throughout the night. Didn’t sleep all week. Guest house appeared to have a small bar but never seemed to be open. Dawlish has nothing. Very tired, rundown town. Barely any cafes open before 10am.

"OK, but needs work"

Lovely owners, comfortable bed, good TV with plenty of channels, good location, nice view.

Room was crying out for renovation, and cleanliness wasn't up to standard. The windows were filthy inside and out, and there was an unwashed glass in the bathroom that had clearly had cola in it at some point.
