We really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting Hedingham Castle for a wedding and the pub/hotel was only a few mins drive away. Our room was clean and tidy. Check in was quick. Had a lovely cooked breakfast plus cereal, toast, juice and tea/coffee. We were even given a lift to the castle in the morning to pick up our car which was lovely and helpful as taxis are very scarce in the area. Would definitely stay agsin.

The room was very disappointing very basic needs decorating. The shower was either scorching hot or freezing. No hot water in hand sink. Linen was very clean
The Shower in the room was filthy with mould in the joints felt better not showering,the whole place could do with deep clean inside and out. The manager was very helpful

The owner Andy and staff were so friendly and absolutely brilliant. Made the whole stay really comfortable as a solo female traveller. Dog friendly too!
From the moment we arrived until we left, Andy the landlord was an excellent host. The room was everything we needed, clean and well maintained. The food and drink was excellent and reasonably priced. On site parking was really convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
Really nice people, and the pub itself is fine, but cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The carpet was dirty as was the exterior of the toilet. Really felt quite unhygienic. Water wasn't hot- just luke warm. No fruit, cereal or yogurt offered for breakfast; just the full English fry up.
