Staff friendly and helpful. Clean. Breakfast was lovely and hot

My husband and I were given a 3rd floor room, there was no lift and we had to carry luggage up to our room upstairs. My husband has a heart condition and I have arthritis in my knees. We struggled.

Lovely old building which has obviously under gone some renovations. Great location. Good pit of tea with breakfast and nice cooked breakfast. Nice to have little fridge in room for milk and cold drinks.

As with most old buildings, floor in bedroom very creaky which must have annoyed anyone downstairs. Continental breakfast was limited and it is obvious they don't have much breakfast traffic as much is individually portioned with cling film over and looked a little tired as if it had been in and out of the fridge for a few days.

Third time we have stayed and the Royal Station hotel has been consistently excellent. The small drinks fridge in the room is really useful.
