Port Stephens Motel

Rooms are desperately small. But.... it is a very short walk into the marina and town and this redeems it. Outside areas need a good clean and pool furniture needs replacing urgently.

Turned up to check in, no one on front desk, note on door to say call a number. Unable to call that number as our Sims aren't on the Australian network. Luckily another guest passed us and lent their phone so we were able to check in. We had the misfortune of checking into room 8. As soon as you opened the door you could smell the damp. The fridge had gone rusty due to the damp and the air had a strange taste. The dust in the room was at another level. Unable to now contact the main desk, we moved to another hotel without even unpacking. The following day I went back and someone was at reception. To be fair to the lady (Melissa) she arranged a refund with no fuss and was very apologetic. Do not be fulled by the pictures posted on their site, in real life it looks like a hotel certain people would hire it for an hour. We didn't even last that long 😬

Very happy with the room for an overnight stay . Great location

There was no iron in room and very little toilet paper .

Air con worked. TV worked. Sheets and towels looked clean. Bed was ok. Good blockout curtains. Badly in need of thorough deep clean and finish a refurb.

Budget accommodation but had everything we needed. The motel was close to the centre of town and there was a great walking track handy to the location.
