Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa

I am deeply disappointed by our experience at the spa at the Omni Amelia Island Resort. My family was visiting to celebrate my niece’s birthday, and during our visit, my 83-year-old mother simply needed a place to sit and rest while her daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the spa facilities. Rather than showing compassion or basic hospitality, the staff refused to accommodate her. We were left feeling embarrassed, humiliated, and unwelcome. It was especially disheartening given her age and the fact that we were paying guests celebrating a special occasion together. Exceptional hospitality is about making guests feel valued and cared for, particularly elderly guests who may need a small accommodation. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The lack of empathy and customer service displayed by the staff overshadowed what should have been a memorable birthday celebration. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to better train staff on guest care, compassion, and how to appropriately accommodate elderly visitors. No family should leave feeling shamed for simply asking for a place for an 83-year-old woman to sit and rest. After we returned to our room, a manager did call and offer to comp the spa services. I did appreciate the call but the feeling of unwelcomeness remains. Sadly, this situation just never should have happened and monetary compensation just does not return the feeling of dignity we should have enjoyed.

Over- priced, probably paid a premium for summer travel, but at $900/night for a two queen room they need to step up their game! For that kind of price, they need an evening turn down service. I had to call for main service the first day because nothing had been done by 3 PM in the afternoon (yes, I asked for maid service every day and not on request at check-in), and was handled by a rather snippy person. The room amenities are truly bare bound, not even bar soap. The lobby bar cannot accommodate the volume of customers, consistently having to wait 20 to 30 minutes for a drink across multiple days. Beech service was good. Pool area is nice with plenty of seating which is refreshing. You expect drinks to be overpriced, which they were, but not excessively. Some excursions were good and some fell flat (shark tooth discovery). Overall, a good trip but overpriced, and not the Ritz.

Scarlett at the pool was absolutely amazing and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Parker at the beach is the best!! He set up our cabana, helped when we needed something and was quick to ask if we needed anything else. Thank you both for making this trip so special!

We recently stayed at the Omni Amelia Island Resort and had a wonderful experience overall. As Omni Icon-level guests, we had the pleasure of working with Genie and Charity from the loyalty guest services team, and they were fantastic. They made us feel truly valued and helped arrange both an early check-in and a late check-out, which made our stay much more relaxing and enjoyable. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the resort itself is beautiful with plenty of amenities and activities to enjoy. The service throughout our stay was excellent. My only complaint is that the walls between rooms seem fairly thin. Unfortunately, we had a neighboring room with a crying baby, and we could hear the crying throughout much of the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Despite that issue, we had a great stay and would absolutely return. A special thank you again to Genie and Charity for going above and beyond to make our visit memorable.

My wife and I stay at the Omni Amelia Island Resort a few of times each summer, usually for three nights at a time. The rooms have just been renovated and are well maintained. The resort property itself is beautiful, with excellent restaurants and plenty of open beach space. A special thank you to Loyalty Ambassadors Gerie and Charity, who always go above and beyond to make sure we are happy with our room and our overall stay. Their attention to detail and genuine care are greatly appreciated. During our Memorial Day weekend visit, we also had the pleasure of being served by Cassandra at Falcon's Nest. She was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I believe everyone who waited on us at each restaurant, deserved mentioning.

Wish we could live there. The entire property is so well manicured, and the staff treat you like family. The catering food and staff were also phenomenal.

6/10 on Room. Room issues of loud/whirring a/c unit and broken toilet paper dispenser fallen on floor resolved with room change. New room ended with full stay of Googlecast not working despite repeated engineer time and work—this, during World Cup. Bathroom has no fan! Overall service outside room was outstanding. Restaurants, especially Bob’s Steak & Chop House, and Florabelle breakfast room 10/10. Beautiful poolside fires and excellent service at beach. Lovely campus.

We recently stayed at Omni Amelia Island for a conference and appreciated the exceptional service from the staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurants. However, I feel obligated to share feedback about the villa accommodations, as this represents a genuine gap between the Omni brand standard we've experienced elsewhere and what we found here. Our first room had a persistent, strong moldy odor well beyond typical coastal humidity effects. As someone familiar with the Georgia coast and managing a mold allergy, I can distinguish normal moisture from a maintenance concern-this was the latter. The room layout placed kitchen appliances on the bathroom counter despite available space in the main bedroom, and the overall condition felt dark and dingy. We were moved to a second villa, which did not have an odor problem but presented other issues: broken center supports on both queen beds (one on the floor, one partially collapsed), and outdoor furniture and deck areas covered in black mold and debris, making them unusable. During the conference, multiple other guests mentioned similar concerns, not isolated incidents but a pattern suggesting maintenance and upkeep haven't kept pace with modern standards. Some villas appeared not to have been updated in decades. The staff went above and beyond trying to help, which made the contrast with the facility condition more pronounced. We ultimately left two days early and chose another hotel. While we've had excellent experiences at other Omni properties, this one will make us reconsider future visits to this location. I hope management will prioritize facility updates and maintenance, the bones are there, but the execution needs attention.

One of our best experiences in a Hotel.. A solid week of perfection. Top to bottom. And a special praise for Charlotte at the pool side bar. And I don't drink alcohol drinks. Before you say anything negatively

Fantastic location, and a beautiful pool area. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room quality was simply a joke. Our toilet seat wasn't fastened on the toilet... sliding all over the place. And worse yet, the toilet was not secured to the floor. While using it... it wobbled left and right... and as it did, it flushed itself. Of course, the door to the room stuck shut, I needed to kick it to get it to open. Do yourself a favor, go to a different resort...
