There are so many instances of dissatisfaction with this resort. Firstly, I will start by saying I have stayed in resorts previously and they all have good points and bad points, but overall I have always been satisfied with my all inclusive experiences until now. Let's first start with first impressions. The hotel room was adequate, nothing special, other than the fact the toilet seat on the bowl was too small, the coffee pot was too small and didn't engage the opening so our first morning was met with the coffee pot overflowing the filter. Don't expect more than just a water. Thats right. One single bottle of water in the fridge. No beer or anything extra. Let's move to the entertainment. Every night a "blow up" screen that is inflated and the best night was karaoke night, when entertainment is provided by the guests. There is one restaurant. Thats it. One. In order to make reservations you must get onto their spotty and inconsistent wifi and download an app to make a reservation. So we opted out and tried the buffet. After the first two nights to the buffet where we sat ourselves, stole cutlery from another table as some are set , most aren't. First. Options to drink, wine or beer; thats it. We don't drink either, but we tried the white with our meal and it was horrible. So bring your own drink. Wait, this will become a theme. So the food was either cold, bland or under seasoned. (Yes, we all expect some of this) but normally there are many options, here there is not. Beef was fatty and boneless wings where all coating and no chicken. Something that resembled a taco with no filling in it and deep fried. Soups where good, but I didn't pay resort money for the hotel to get homeless food correct. The eggs tasted peculiar, the bacon shards got caught in my girlfriends throat, and the service was non existent. After 2 nights of wasting our time on less than appealing food I spent $1000 CDN eating at restaurants. At the end of the trip I spoke the manager and then spoke to the head of the food department. I told him how on BBQ night they put out left over hamburgers in buns, as well with hot dogs from lunch, wrapped them in saran wrap. I explained the bland food, the cold food from heating trays and the low quality. Best he did was argue or deny what I said to be true. This won't be the first time I would be called a liar by staff on site We booked a whale watching tour with GREYLINE downstairs (pretty safe to book a trip inside the resort with my experince) i asked for the pirate ship whale tour. Paid for it and set up for the next day to meet our shuttle at 7:20 a.m. Later that evening the greyline rep calls and said "the pirate ship didn't sell out so it won't be going out, we can either change the date or you can go on the catamaran, I chose the catamaran. Next morning we are up at 5:30 a.m. and out front at 6:45. Watched the front bell boy come on shift at 7 a.m. As expected, 7:20 comes and goes, no shuttle. We waited out front until 8 am. Went downstairs to see the rep who was 20 minutes late for work. We demanded a refund, he called his third party guy and said he was there to get us but we weren't there, I told him to go talk to the front bell boy to confirm our presence. Again, this con artist offers us a replacement tour and I laughed at him in his face and said I wanted my money back because I would never do business with a company that has zero integrity. He wrote a receipt for a refund and said I would have it in 48 hours, I asked how I can be assured and his response was "we do lots of refunds". Good news is. I got the refund, bad news is they shorted it $20 and wasn't worth another waste of my time. This is a low end air b and b. We never got fresh towels or toilet paper after a room cleaning and had my girlfriend ordering g toilet paper at 11 pm after a night downtown hoping to come back to a fully stocked room. IF you have low expectations and plan on eating outside the resort, this is the place for you. For 2 adults we either got splashed by kids at the swim up bar, or went to the splash pool for adults upstairs that had 2.5 feet of water. We made the best of our trip by leaving this resort. The food manager felt like had we said something, the entire buffet would have been miraculously hotter, fresher and had salt or seasoning to combat this gruel normally seved at a seniors home as passable. The only one good thing there, where the other travelers and 1 bartender. I'm not that guy nor am I a Karen to complain But the cost out of pocket and less than entertaining, "entertainment", the cheesy "disco teck" (I haven't heard this name since my dad explained the 70s) was 3 underwhelming coloured lights and blaring music and no ambiance, its best to stay somewhere else or leave the resort. Treat this resort as a hotel, only and you will have a decent trip like we did. Thank you royal decameron. We are now inspired to get and air b and b for our next trip. I wish I didn't have to give this one star

"Muy agradable y fue un buen tiempo"

Muy buen servicio, habitaciones muy limpias y la areas comunes y albercas tambien, solo falta un poco mas de variedad en el buffet del mercado, pero fuera de ahi todo muy bien, muy buena atencion de algunos meseros, siempre estan al pendiente

En el restaurante luna para el snack, les falta personal muchas mesas y personas y solo un mesero, lo cual dificulta el buen servicio, solo eramos 2 personas y nos tuvimos que parar por nuestros alimentos y bebidas y nos ofrecieron unos nachos pero sabian raros algo estaba dañado o muy reutilizado, fuera de ahi todo lo demas excelente, sin duda volveremos

"Choose another resort…"

The resort was very dated. One elevator. No where near where you needed to move your luggage. Staff was pleasant. Food was mediocre at best. A lot of recycled food on the buffet. Luna’s burgers were tasty. Entertainment was awful. 85% of the music was in Spanish and blaring on the speaker at the main pool. Don’t judge, I know I was in Mexico but the resort next to us had a variety of music for all guests. Be prepared to watch every step you take because the grounds are not properly maintained. The decking from the Luna to the beach, boards popping, uneven, steps around the property chipped, tiles chipped and broken. We always ask ourselves if we would visit again. No way.

We are from the states, and they catered to everyone but us. Service sucked.. Could not understand us. Food was not good. Scenery was beautiful. And our bartender Rafael was super amazing.

the staff don't pay attention to the small things such as what can help you my reservation was ready l have to wait to find out they don t maybe yo did not reserved here , second l ask for coffee and the person ignored me l had to ask the second time

"Bien, pero..."

El personal fue muy amable, particularmente Joanna de entretenimiento, Carmen del restaurante, Ian el bellboy y Ana del spa (hay algunos que son todavía más amables con los extranjeros). Las camas eran cómodas, pudimos descansar bien todos los días, sin mucho ruido. La presión de la regadera era buena y el espacio de la habitación fue suficiente para 3 personas. Cenamos un par de días en el restaurante Luna y la comida nos gustó bastante. La ubicación nos favoreció mucho ya que hay tres supermercados a distancia caminable y pudimos hacer las compras que necesitábamos.

Tuvimos la mala suerte de que nos tocara una de las pocas habitaciones sin balcón 2309 (como se muestra en una de las fotos) a pesar de que en las imágenes de Booking se veía que sí contaba con uno. La puerta del baño es algo extraña ya que es la misma para la regadera y el WC (como se muestra en la otra foto)... y hablando del WC, la potencia del agua era muy baja y el bote de basura no funcionaba. En general a la habitación le faltaba un poco de mantenimiento. Tuvimos un pequeño problema en el restaurante El Mercado en donde no se nos permitió sacar dos bollitos, lo cual nos pareció bastante hipócrita ya que tienen un letrero hablando del desperdicio de comida y obviamente esos bollitos terminaron en la basura.
