In Riva al Lago

The best continental breakfast! Quality food!

This hotel does not have an elevator. Our room was spacious with a kitchen area. The mattresses were very firm. The breakfast was delicious. This hotel is located close to the lake, bus and train stations as well as a charming downtown.

Room rate seemed reasonable, the room had air conditioning which was nice. The attached restaurant serves decent food at a good price, and there are lots of other little places to eat and drink nearby. A nice quiet little place to spend a few nights.

What a fun, cozy, clean, awesome place Riva Al Lago is!! I will definitely go back when I find myself in Como again... This was a spur of the moment trip (one night only) with 4 people. Even last minute, the rooms were available and affordable and clean and in a PERFECT location. We had never been to Como before, so this was a gamble... one we are SO glad we took! Clean and tidy. Right in the heart of the old town. Great service. Working wifi. Garage option for a car. Great night life. Affordable prices. LOVED IT! Thank you Riva Al Lago!

breakfast is served only as from the month of July. The Internet site shows however a great breakfast buffet.

Very good; very helpful staff: two drawbacks -- no lift (on second floor) and night-time noise from nearby bars.

Perfect Location right on the water! Very clean rooms and very secure.

HORRIBLE service!! The man in charge of checking us in was EXTREMELY rude! We were staying for 1 night but each of us (3 people) had luggages with our clothes and personal things to take shower and change. We were doing a two-week Europe tour. Receptionist kept complaining we had too many luggage for one night and that we should leave them in the car. The guy was very impatient because we were taking too long to go up and took the luggage out of my hands so abruptly that he broke the luggage handle. Do you think he apologized? NO! He shouldn't assume that people don't live around the corner and just need a hotel to sleep. We also need to take shower and change! We were so upset with the "reception" we had that we couldn't even have a good night sleep. Unfortunately everywhere else was already closed. We were told we couldn't take a shower from 11pm until 8am. They need a new receptionist because other than that hotel is clean with very clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. The other guy who was at the front desk in the morning when we checked-out was completely different, very courteous. I wished he was the one there that night when we arrived after driving 6 hours straight trying to make it there before they close the front desk.

Good bed and nice shower. No breakfast.

Comfortable enough but walls a bit thin - impressed with the 3-times-night couple next door!
