Hotel Restaurant Balm Meggen

We had a few nights here and it was wonderful and peaceful! All of the staff were nice and friendly, the view of the lake was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. We also had a lovely lunch in the bistro and dinner in the restaurant. I highly recommend staying here. It is a little out of the bustling and touristy main area of Lucerne, but it is on a direct bus line to the city centre and they give you a free bus pass for the duration of your stay.

Excellent staff, nice little bar, plain but functional and spacious rooms, nice and clean bathrooms, excellent breakfast area, awesome views, and a very convenient bus stop right across the street. Overall, this was a nice little find close to Luzern. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms, although basic, were very comfortable for two adults and two children. I was pleasantly surprised all the way around. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as an alternative to staying in central Luzern.

It was very expensive (CHF 998 + cut tax for 3 nights). Room was small for that price . The area was good. There was frequent bus service from just outside the hotel to lucern main city centre. Breakfast was good. Hotel staffs were very helpful.

The hotel was good. Especially, service was good and employer and employee were kind.

Very lovely hotel with a wonderful front desk staff a wonderful room. We ate at the restaurant but make sure you get a reservation as they are extremely popular. The food and the staff are exceptional. Lucerne is only a quick bus ride down the road to which they give you a day pass so you can explore for free.

We were there for an autumn night stay. A few miles outside of Lucerne but nice to be in the quiet of the suburbs. Hotel is very clean with a modern updated bathroom.

The hotel was very nice. Despite it being far from town, it was clean and the rooms appeared recently updated. The view from our room was great and our daughter loved her little alcove room off the main room. As a bonus, there were a couple of ponies out in the field that she was able to watch eating their breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Just outside of Luzern, drove into city for dinner. Very nice breakfast and young gentleman at the reception spoke English very well and very helpful in directibg us around the area!

I stayed with my family for 4 nights in the middle of September. This hotel is located in a quite area, Meggen, close to Lucerne. The room was clean and quiet. In Meggen there are several nice restaurants including this hotel. The only downside is that the room has no refrigerator. Hope to come back here again.
