Hotel Alpenroyal

The property had an amazing view of the Matterhorn and there was an elevator across the street at the adjoining hotel to take you to street level. Nothing but the best.

We were very impressed and excited with the clear view of Matterhorn when we first entered the room ! The hotel provides train station transfers during check in and check out. Housekeeping should take note.....More than 5pcs of used coffee capsules were still in the coffee machines during our check in. Though we didn't use the swimming pool, but it has nice view Matterhorn. We used the sauna, nice!

Wonderful time in a beautiful Mountain community!

The view from the hotel room was amazing! The location was a bit far from the city center but the hotel staff took me to the hotel and station so it was no problem. I also loved the sauna. I will come back here.

We spent a week here for our ski trip and would highly recommend this hotel. Great location - ski down to Cervo spa at the end of the day and the hotel is steps away. Our balcony looked out at the Matterhorn …what a way to wake up each day! The color scheme in the room was brown and orange and although the colors were unusual, the furniture and beds were VERY comfortable. Our room and entire hotel was always spotless. Breakfast each day was served in lovely Swiss themed dining area and we were assigned a table (with a name card ) for the duration of our stay. The cappuccino is delicious and the buffet offered a variety of hot and cold options (bacon, eggs (scrambled and you can boil a fresh egg), assorted cold cuts, fruits, breads, yogurts… so many choices! Beautiful, CLEAN pool / hot tub /spa area. The staff at this hotel is incredibly friendly and really goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. We spent a few evenings at the hotel bar enjoying cocktails and chatting with the bartenders - they gave excellent recommendations for restaurants in town. We would absolutely stay here again 😊

Location was very convenient for skiing access to Sunnegga station. The rooms size was ok depending on the room you have, some have a bigger toilet and smaller walking space and others have the opposite. Staff were very kind and helpful, ski’s and boot storage were very useful aswell

Free shuttle from station in this car-free city. Rooms are clean and the view from the balcony onto the Matterhorn was stunning. Breakfast is well stocked and the table with one's nameplates is a nice personal touch. Overall a great experience!

The view onto the Matterhorn from this hotel is fantastic and the access to town super easy as you can just take a lift down and you're in walking distance from the train station, the Gornergrat station and the centre. We were there with two kids and they loved it too. The pool is heated and safe for kids. The breakfast was lovely, and again from your table you see the Matterhorn. Currently there is a crane in front but it did not bother us much, the view is still majestic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They pick you up and drop you off for free with a little electric car from the station (handy with luggage and kids!). The room was clean, spacious and although a bit dated, with a lot of alpine charm. We would stay again for sure.
