Scarborough Travel and Holiday Lodge

Room was very small. Breakfast was very nice but it took a long time.

Wouldn't let you book in at 2pm because rooms weren't ready, 320pm when we got keys, no info on breakfast and rooms uncomfortable and smelt of dogs

We booked this hotel solely as they welcome dogs. Usually when a hotel says they welcome dogs, they simply tolerate them but this hotel really does welcome them. We were given a dog bed and food and water bowls and even a doggy towel. They even left a few dog treats in the room and gave us a tag to borrow with the hotel details just in case our dog should get lost! The staff were very knowledgeable about where dogs would be allowed to come with us in and around Scarborough and told us we could even bring our dog down to breakfast with us if we wished where she would be given her own sausage (we didn't as she's only a pup and still begs for food so we didn't think it would be fair on other diners!). We stayed in a family room for 4 (2 adults and 2 children). The room was spotless and I can honestly say that if I wasn't a dog owner, I would have had no idea that there had previously been dogs in the room. The facilities were basic but please remember that this is a budget hotel. Despite that, the rooms were well decorated and have everything you need. The beds were the most comfortable I have slept in outside my own home. The hotel is in a great location only 5 minutes from the Spa and the same from the town centre. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone - with or without dogs. We'll be back next time we're in Scarborough.

Clean hotel but needs some updating and unfortunately we had some very noisy other guest up very wary a with noisy kids Very handy for a short walk to the beach front

Room smelled of dogs, ripped chair probably done by dogs !!!!! Room needs refurbishing and toilet needs deep cleaning. Car park gets very full and is narrow in places. One disabled parking space which we used but when we came back another car was parked there without a badge so had to leave car on a busy main road.

Room very small. Very noisy with very thin walls-could hear conversations next door. Horrible smelling shower curtain

Shower in room 42 is awful, fold down shower with wood hanging out of back and rust everywhere yukkk. Mega comfy bed but no sleep coz of seagulls all night and someone blasting horn at 7am.

Great on a budget but bunk beds were far to squeaky and made way too much noise when the person on them moved. My double bed was comfortable but the curtains were so thin, we were all awake as soon as the sun came up at 5. Shower was decent, plenty of towels, pillows, toilet paper and really good location to everything and free parking.

The hotel has very welcoming friendly staff the rooms are very clean and comfortable I would most definitely recommend this hotel and will look forward to staying here again

We stayed for one night. Everything was perfect for the price we paid.
