The Old Phuket - Karon Beach Resort

The location of this hotel is great, its a walking distance to the busy side of patong but also far enough to not be disturbed by the noise. We only stayed there for one night so didnt really get the chance to use any facilities. The breakfast could be better. Very limited options for breakfast..

Didn't managed to use all the amenities, but hotel is close to the beach. Massage palour and resturants nearby. All through the other exit. (Not main) Would be better if there is a buggy car to send u from lobby to main exit and the distance is far and dark at night.

This is the 3rd hotel we stayed in on our family Thailand trip and hands down the worst experience. This hotel needs a major lesson on customer service and treating guests with respect. The assistant manager, Kim, is especially very rude. We had issues with our key card for 2 days and it was a pain getting anything fixed. My husband really had to throw a fit and demanded that our room be changed, but it was as if they were doing us a favor by giving us rooms that smelled like mold. They eventually gave us a room with pool access and the manager apologized for Kim's behavior, but this was a very bad experience. When you pay for a resort to relax on your vacation, this is not what you want to deal with. Please avoid this hotel because there are much better options. This is not the Thai hospitality we were accustomed to.

Nice quiet location, great pools, handy to local restaurants and markets

We stayed at The Old Phuket for 2 nights after a week at The Nai Harm. We wanted a couple of days in a busier area to finish off our stay. The hotel is very handy to Karon Beach and to a lot of good restaurants and other shops. We ate at a couple of great places just outside the hotel back gate, cocktails were 99 Baht - bonus! The pool is great with plenty of lounges and a bar that made great cocktails. There were rooms that opened up onto their own section of the pool and if I was to go again, I'd get one of those. I got a good rate on a room but it was a cheaper one in the older part of the hotel. The bed was excruciatingly hard - very uncomfortable. We didn't complain though as we were only there for 2 nights. Parts of the hotel are a bit tired but it was good value for money. The breakfast was very nice too.

Excellent , enjoyes stay , lots to do , places to eat !!

We had not stayed at Karon Beach before and were looking for a reasonably priced hotel. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with the Old Phuket. We had a Deluxe Pool Access room which was fantastic, nice and big and you could just walk our balcony into the pool. The staff were all beautiful people who couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was included which was nice, a mixture of European and Thai food. All in all we will definitely be back again.

Nice accommodations and they supply you with flip flops and umbrellas which was a nice touch. The service was not very good though. Check in was difficult and dealing with the tour services there were expensive and frustrating

Hotel ambiance has a mixed of modern and old heritage charm feel. It is conveniently located with amenities and beach within walking distance. Massage outlets, restaurants and convenient shops are just outside the hotel. Pool is perfect for lap swim. Enough open space within the hotel ground so one does not feel congested. Staff service is friendly. Nice size and comfortable bed. Breakfast standard can be better improved but decent enough. A peaceful stay for us. Overall, a value for money and good hotel for a short holiday.

Great hotel, close to beach etc a little dated in places but very good. All it lacks is its own restaurant and late bar.
