Club Mahindra Madikeri Resort and SPA, Coorg

The Location and the ambience was really nice. The staff were absolutely helpful being warm and cordial. They upgraded the room and my special request was catered. The Food was also nice. Especially the native indian dishes.

The rooms are a bit old. Cabinets needs attention, they smell dust and mold. A thorough cleaning and a topcoat application should make it rectified.

Property has lot of greenery and good spread with lots of variations for walking . Birds are plentiful. Spotted the Whistling Malabar Thrush. staff is polite but clueless beyond their assigned duty

breakfast was not upto the mark: 1. most items were like idlis,upma, baked potato were served cold and had to be pointed out to manager. 2.curd was tinge of sourness. 3.live counters were repeated every day 4.Manager approved breakfast start without verifying the contents if they are hot or not 5. Nobody had any idea about what can be done in Coorg beyond the walls of the resort. most unhelpful and only want to tell what is on resort. Like no one knew local treks/ trails or sight seeing points of Madikeri

Standards maintained and comfortable

You need air conditioning in summer . Temperatures in the post climate change world in Mercara go up to 36/37 C

Good location

If you are not a club Mahindra member , one is paying too much for the room stay (not worth). Food is good but ofcourse costly compared to other good hotels around. They donot give you any discount on food /drinks as mentioned in booking.com booking. The property can be better maintained .

Excellent location - beautiful resort with lots of wonderful greenery. Kids loved it and lots of things to do inside as well.

Food is quite expensive , the spread was good but not exceptional . Staff were unaware one of the preparations had egg so one of us had a bad allergic reaction . So be careful if you have allergies
