A good quality hotel with no nasty surprises.Room was quiet, spotlessly clean and serviced with a lot of care to detail.

I booked this holiday for my wife’s 70 birthday Never stayed here before But I was not disappointed The hotel was excellent Food unbelievable (fresh tasty and presented well) Staff could not fault them not one request was too much trouble Although it would be extremely hard to identify one individual there was a female lady who served drinks I think here name was Nelly? Forgive me if have that wrong but nothing was too much trouble for her what an ambassador she is for the hotel Overall this is a five star hotel and we look forward to seeing you soon George

One consistency with Barcelo hotels is the helpfulness and friendliness of staff and this hotel meets the same high standards . From reception to bars , restaurants to cleaning staff everyone seems prepared to go the extra yard . I echo other reviews commenting on spacious rooms and the food and drink . Whilst the rooms are not bristling with newly painted varnish they are clean and immaculate. In the buffet you will always find something to eat and the quality ranges from ok to excellent . There is nothing bad here and the restaurant staff are excellent. Sunbeds are plentiful and the hotel has a no sunbed reservation policy . It’s a pity some don’t adhere to this . Did not get round to completing the nature reserve but managed the Star gazing with Francisco. Despite not being able to take many observations due to cloud cover, Francisco kept us entertained by his knowledge and passion . The daily hotel activities are worth booking and are informal and fun. As others have mentioned if you go to the very lower pool there is an exit ( works on room card) that will take you to the local villages Turning right as you leave the hotel you will reach the local golf course in about 20 minutes ( walking).You will also come across a a decent supermarket. Rooms on the left B block facing the pool seem to get the most sun . Taxis to and from the airport should cost around €20. Not much nightlife around here for younger couples but if you want a relaxing holiday the Barcelo Tenerife delivers

Fantastic Hotel in the beautiful sunshine. Amazing staff all over these staff members couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely and quiet pools that were kept immaculate. Food in buffet was very good and no issue getting a seat at breakfast or evening time. We eat twice in Italian restaurant which you get 25% discount and that was a good change from the buffet. Cracking big room and that was just a standard one with a lake view. Airport 10 mins away and less than €20 in taxi. Will 100% return next Jan. Keep up the superb standard.

We had the most wonderful week!! The hotel was perfect for what we wanted - a luxury winter sun getaway with our little one. It was super clean, great service and lovely food. The only down side was that the evening entertainment didn’t start until 9.30pm which was too late for us. We had to have dinner at the earliest time possible which was 6.30pm so it was a long wait/ past our little one’s bedtime. It was also indoors with hardly no one there which isn’t the same vibe compared to when it’s outdoors with lots of people when you are on holiday. Other hotels tend to do a children’s disco before the later entertainment which would have been good. If they had more entertainment overall I think the experience could be so much better. Still 5*!! We left the storms and snow of the UK to arrive in spring- time in Tenerife. This is the 5th time that we have stayed in this wonderful hotel and we just love how kind and caring the staff are - they go out of their way to make sure that you have a great holiday and I think the Barcelo staff make it a 5* holiday experience. The hotel is in a great location, just 10 minutes taxi ride from the airport (€18 + tip). Nestled in a quieter corner of South Tenerife, with great coastal sea walks and close to two 18 hole golf courses, this elegant hotel features 5 restaurants ( Drago buffet, Breeze al la Carte, Italian, and the Royal level and Arronzante gourmet restaurants) It also boasts 7 swimming pools (2 heated at the Breeze and Royal level pools) and excellent sporting facilities, with the tennis court, table tennis and pool tables being very popular. Our bedroom was excellent: sea views, spacious, recently re-decorated, fluffy dressing gowns and slippers, great WiFi and best quality soaps and shampoos. Our bedroom was cleaned daily and indeed the hotel is immaculately maintained in all areas. At first, the hotel and grounds feel very large but this is an advantage as you can always find sun loungers or a quiet corner to tuck into. The pools at the Breeze and Plaza bars are very popular because this is where all the day exercise classes and entertainment takes place ( use the excellent Barcelo app to find out what is on and to book classes and restaurants). I joined the Mojito making class which was great fun and the 5 pm bingo sessions at the Plaza bar area were always very popular. The Drago buffet restaurant has a superb choice of food and they try to cater for all tastes and allergies, for example, they have a gluten free and vegan section and a choice of 7 different milks. Each evening they have a theme night, for example, seafood or Mexican theme. The food is constantly evolving and they now have a new ‘North American’ section which seems to consist of chicken wings, hamburgers and French fries. However, because my sister is vegetarian/pescatarian, we now book to stay all- inclusive at Royal level as this gives us a greater choice of food: each day we can choose to eat at either the Drago buffet, the Breeze al la Carte or the Royal level gourmet restaurants. One of my photos shows our humous and salmon tartare starters. At night time, we go to the Royal level, with its beautiful sea views, romantic lighting and great table service. My sister praised the salmon fillet, tuna steak, and ricotta and basil pasta with pesto. I loved the duck confit, spicy vegetarian meatballs and braised beef cheeks. We plan to return to this wonderful hotel

The hotel is big and spacious, and we never felt it was too busy — we easily hit our 10k steps each day as it’s such a large site. The rooms were clean, and the sound of water along with all the plants and greenery throughout the hotel made it feel really relaxing. We also did the tour of the nature reserve, which I’d highly recommend. There are lovely seafront walks and runs directly from the hotel, and we were able to park the car for free. I thought the airport noise might be an issue, but it wasn’t at all. in fact, we actually enjoyed watching the planes.

Nice hotel, I would say that it is feeling a little tired for a 5* . I would say it was an excellent 4 stay but not a 5 star hotel. It just lacks a little bit. There is a few broken tiles and the stairs at night down to the restuarant are dark so you have to be careful. A little bit more attention to detail needed all around. That said it was very clean, and rooms are a fair size. The pools are great and the food is of good quality. It just needs that bit extra to make it special.

Christmas 2025…The location of the hotel was excellent, with great sea views, and excellent food. However, the hotel is very tired and very poorly managed throughout. We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay over new year. We were offed and dining time from 7.00 to 8.30. We, along with 3 other couples, arrived at the dining room at 7.20. (Buffet dining), and were told that the hotel manager Eva, had closed the restaurant at 7.15, even though we had our table reservations. No one offered to help or cared about the situation, they all were very unhelpful. When we spoke to the restaurant manager (Eva), she was happy for us to write poor review, and then simply walked away, she couldn't care less about our experience at dinner or that we had other arrangements after dinner that her actions affected. We also experienced very poor room service, the hotel leaked in various places which took 2 days to clear up, all the restaurant staff were unenthusiastic. We heard very guest complaining about things, which was met with a half-hearted apology which was certainly, not sincere. Unfortunately the whole team, which stems from the hotel manager, certainly the restaurant manager couldn't careless about the experience of their guests. It's the worst hotel experience we've had and would definitely not recommend this hotel.

I have just returned from a very restful 5 days staying at this beautiful unique hotel. This place has a lovely chilled, calm and serene atmosphere and although there are a lot of rooms the calm peaceful atmosphere seems to hide the number of guests there are. It is peaceful and quiet and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor space to find to relax. This hotel is so unusual with its architecture and is a maze of rooms, it never gets boring. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing! The food is fantastic and as a Vegetarian I found the meals varied and delicious - we went half board and there is plenty of choice in the buffet. The staff are first class, very friendly and attentive and the whole place is just perfect for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all. Huge thank you to all the staff, housekeeping, chefs, waiters, reception staff, bar staff - everyone - you were all amazing and work very hard to keep the guests happy. I can't wait to return and hope I do very soon. Thank you so much!
