NZOverall the accommodation was comfortable and very tidy. A home away from home.
The bathroom tiles however were unclean, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for sometime but nothing major.

Rooms need redecorating. Needs a restaurant kitchen. Spa needs opening. Air cons in some rooms not working. Need extra kitchen things cloths etc. not all rooms had microwaves
NZWe stayed one night and found the location to be a real highlight, very central and within easy walking distance to shops, cafes, and the waterfront, which made getting around Gisborne easy. The room was spacious and generally comfortable, but the overall feel of the hotel is a bit tired and could do with some updating. This seems to be a common theme noted by other guests as well. There is a pool on site, but we didn’t use it during our stay. Overall, a convenient place to stay for a short visit, especially if location is your priority, but the hotel would benefit from some refurbishment.

NZNZLocation was great for my work, I could walk to the venue, good for dinner options after work. Nice view of the river.
There was no where to wash dishes when used. On the Saturday night I could hear music from a club until early hours of the morning. Nothing the hotel could do about it, and I had a room on the far side/river side of the building which was appreciated.
NZStayed one night staff were great, everything was clean room was excellent.
Needs abit of tlc but would definitely stay again
