this hotel just doesn't live up to the pictures or reputation very tired and slightly rundown, in need of some TLC, Spa over crowed with no treatments alible and not as clean as it should be, a real disappointment. i must add that all staff were polite and helpful and we didn't complain at the time our stay as the issues were not things that were easily solved like Spa equipment not working, changing rooms not clean and generally seemed like a ship with out a captian

Hotel & spa was nice and very scenic but food was disappointing. Staff were friendly, which made the stay enjoyable. I would recommend but the cleanliness could be better. Twice we had to ask for new glasses and our balcony had cigarette butts (we are not smokers), so clearly this was missed by the cleaners.

Lovely stay

Answers reflect that work is ongoing - it is having new carpets, woodwork etc. The place is kept clean and tidy and staff do there best under COVID rules. I did not use the additional facilities. A twin room was provided, the two beds make it quite cramped with the wardrobe in the main room rather than the usual walkway. The bed was fine, but the pillows were awful! bathroom clean and functional, though the marble surround on the narrow bath tub is quite intrusive and the curtain is poor. Breakfast was great and the view fantastic (ask for a window seat!).

The price for drinks were beyond reasonable, £3.60 for a glass of coke. Breakfast was poor and cold.

Lovely location. Rooms very nice. Only downside was the service was slow in restaurant and bar area.

The hotel is under going renovations at the moment, so it took a bit of a shine off it. The room was clean if a little cluttered with furniture and you could hear people in the room above ours, so perhaps its not the best insulated place in the world. The staff were friendly and the dinner was ok with an average breakfast.

Great one nignt to relax in spa area, would jave been better if this included in room price but nevertheless good night and lovely place
