Great place to stay - lovely location comfortable hotel with great food

The location and the views are nice, being able to sit outside the balcony is great, and the gym is very well equipped. Otherwise the rooms and the property are very outdated and not well maintained. It is not clean in particular. Breakfast is unhealthy and only option is a full english with a vegetarian (take away the sausage). Also not sure why the property charges extra £10 per person for 45 mins to get into the pool, It is nothing else but a pool and a simple hot tub. This is not a spa facility. There is no shower gel in showers, no hairdryer, no water to drink. The spa is the main selling point for the hotel and they charge you extra when it is less than half functional. Nothing feels like a 4 star hotel here. I would barely give 3 stars.

Hotel in a good location with stunning view and golf course. The bed was very comfortable and the aircon was good as well. Bedroom in good condition. Tasty food in the restaurant. The bathroom needs fixings and better cleanliness. On some parts of the bath, handles and shower head, there was a black mould. One of the sink taps was loose and it was spinning when tried to open, sink was clogged as the lift rod was broken. The toilet flush button didn't spring back when flushing. Because of covid rules room was not made up, the hotel sent an email about it and information, that the towels will be changed daily, but they were not. I have to ask at the reception so fresh towels were delivered, but the used ones were not taken back. These are little things, but the hotel is quite pricy, so you would not expect this kind of issue.

The hotel its self is well worth a visit, pool and spa was great. Where the hotel falls down is service. Hiring kids to serve food and look after the restaurant doesn't work there was no organisation certainly knot 4 star service the food was basic not to my taste. I hate coming to a place like this to think i could do better at home... I would use the hotel again but eat else where.

Really pleasant kind caring staff

1 night stay with my son for some father and son time. Evening meal was divine and service second to none. Bit disappointed that you had to pay £10 each for pool especially 2nd time around! But facilities and the way they organised around covid rules were second to none. Breakfast was tasty albeit service a little slow as they seemed understaffed. Will definitely book again.

Very nice stay

We arrived at this spa hotel to be told that we were unable to use the pool or spa facilities as it was only open to non- residents. After a discussion we were told that we could be permitted to use the facilities for 45 minutes per day. Our first evening in the restaurant was out last. Food was a poor quality- I needed a chainsaw to cut through my steak. Service was very poor. We waited over an hour for our meal and we asked for the desert menu and after 30 minutes wait we gave up and asked for the bill. We did mention the poor service and poor quality and in fairness we were given some money off the bill. We had spa treatments booked but unfortunately there was a fire in the spa so we never got to receive our treatments. We asked if we were able to walk in the hotel grounds but were told this was not allowed due to golfers. Over all a very disappointing g stay. This hotel is advertised as a spa hotel but pool is only available to non residents and the restaurant is poor with very limited choice. On the plus side the views are amazing. We ended up leaving the hotel 3 days early as we were so disappointed with the lack of facilities and poor restaurant. We were refunded by hotels.com.

Stayed here several times, always get a room with a balcony so I can sit out and have a coffee and a vape. Only thing I would say is maybe the bathrooms could do with a re jig, shower goes everywhere, otherwise a great hotel

We stayed here for 2nights felt very safe and comfortable staff very friendly and lovely, food was really good, the staff always wore masks and hand sanitiser were everywhere will definitely stay again .
