HL Club Playa Blanca Hotel

All the staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I brought our 2 year old son and there’s always plenty for him to do. The food is good, as they have different themed nights through the week but also have ‘safe’ alternatives so there is something for everyone. We have had a couple of problems with our room however they were sorted out immediately. All round a very enjoyable stay. I would come back.

In my personal opinion there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel for the price Bungalows For an all inc holiday to have such a large bungalow is a great addition, bedrooms are huge, with a large wardrobe and mirror, beds were made every day apart from a Sunday, hairdryer in bathroom is a good standard, 2 sinks, good shower, plenty of towels, lounge area is basic, but didn't spend much time in it, tv channels are mostly Spanish but it does have bbc1 bbc2 itv and channel 4, microwave and fridge are useful, but didn't use Pool area Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas Snack bar serves really good pizzas that are made in front of you, equivalent to any pizza restaurant at home, help yourself to hot drinks and soft drinks all day long Restaurant You will always find something to eat, I enjoyed all the choices, you won't starve! Location Free shuttle bus twice a day, or a short walk to the beach and town, once on the front turn left to the marina or right to the shops and restaurants, plenty to do and see, the market on a Wednesday and Saturday is worth a walk round, bus station to various places on the island is also quite close All in all I don't think you'll be disappointed with your visit, staff are very friendly and helpful As a family of 5 we didn't have a single complaint between us, would happily return

Nearly everything was good, accomodation, food, cleanliness, staff, refreshments, pools. Gym was free and really good. There are lots of cats which we did see deficating in areas off the main path so beware. We thought it was a bit of a treck to any shops or bars outside the hotel. Nothing at all on the doorstep. If you don't want to see/hear children, stay away. This is not a negative to the hotel but I called it a zoo with regard to children. A lot were aloud to run around out of control everywhere including the dinner hall. Not sure who is paying for all the kids being out of school??? We saw 2 lots of confruntations over 2 days with parents almost coming to blows over children with disgusting language. Like I say this is a negative to guests not to the hotel.

Lovely hotel fantastic entertainment team

We returned back after coming last march with our young children 6 year old and 2 year old twins. They loved it especially the kids club and mini disco. The animation team make this hotel the effort they put in each day with the children and the adults. The food there was always something to eat, bar staff and waiter staff also lovely.

Recently spent 4 days here Seem to be some mixed reviews.Here is ours based on our experience. Location About a 10 minute walk to the shops and resteraunts one way out of the hotel,about 15 minutes walk the other way to Playa Flamingo beach.Our bungalow in block 800 was ideally located for us and if we returned would request one in the same area. Cleanliness Our bungalow was spotless.Yes,a couple of areas in need of TLC,but absolutely spotless. I always check the bathroom,bedding and fridge on arrival and there were absolutely no concerns.Our cleaner was also great. I would just leave the towels in the shower and they were replaced...even had double the amount left on the Saturday to compensate for no Sunday visit (I didn't ask) Had read that beds weren't made so had no expectations regarding this However,on one day,had left the beds open with a view to make them later in the day,yet when we returned,they were made...not just pulled over,but properly made.Public areas were also kept clean and tidy,plenty of rubbish bins Obviously the hotel is not responsible if people don't use them,though most people seemed to.We also noticed that there were bungalows being decorated and maintained. Pools Didn't use them myself(never do),but my husband reiterated that it was very cold. We used the upper level for sunbeds. Good Was particularly apprehensive about this one,but needn't have been. Plenty of choice.No,some of it wasn't the hottest,but this is quite usual abroad and never saw anything that was undercooked.There was a microwave if needed. Also saw replenishment of items and there were live cooking stations.Also spotless here,with staff constantly clearing tables and cleaning. Staff All staff that we came into contact with were friendly and polite We didn't take part in any of the activities,but the animation team seemed to be very well liked. Entertainment Seemed geared towards families and children,but that was fine. We prefer to go out on an evening.We did use the quiet bar. Lovely 4 day break,were very lucky with the weather and would return again outside of the peak season.

Check in quick, requested a room close to facilities by email prior to travelling and got bungalow 103 probably the closest thanks for that. The bungalow was perfect, large bedroom good living room and big bathroom with a good shower. The grounds and gardens are lovely and well maintained, drinks package good and meals standard all inclusive. Yes food could be hotter on occasions but no one should go hungry. Staff are great especially Ieva at the bar what a credit to the hotel she is. Now the downside. Nightly entertainment is only fair, 2 nights we had professional acts which were good but the thing that spoilt it for us was the many kids running riot throughout the room whilst parents getting drunk or on their phones. The other nights were the animation team who in fairness tried their best but everything geared to families or younger folk. The music was deafening, so loud that it was unable to hold a conversation . The other room which we used most nights was mainly adults. Now this room could be so much better if there was comfortable seating and maybe background music. 2 nights a week there were a singer and guitarists in the dining room during dinner with nobody listening. We thought maybe put them on in the "adult bar" for background entertainment . All in all we had a good 11 nights stay but problem won't return because of the nighttime situation.

Hotel is ok. The bungalows were bigger than expected. The pool area is quite big although the pools are very cold. The food on the whole isn't the best but you definitely wouldn't go hungry and on some occasions there was some really nice options out. The review would have been a 3 star if it wasnt for the entertainment team who go above and beyond and bring a brilliant energy to the hotel. If it wasnt for them the holiday would probably have felt a bit 'flat', so props to them.
