"Nice place; just needs a little extra care in the housekeeping department."

Friendly owner, knowledgeable about the city and helpful with ideas about things to do and places to eat.

Bathroom had hair in the shower from previous guests. Cat hair in the bedroom. TV didn’t work. Door knob fell off.

"The place was in such a state of disrepair and dirty we did not stay."

Absolutely nothing

The owner was not there when we arrived. My wife walked up the staire despite the wobbly railing. She found multiple extension cords assached to the ceiling and two pet dishes that were slimey and partially eaten from and disgusting. by the front door. We decided not to stay there. The place was a DUMP! It lacked upkeep and the basic repairs from the outside. We had no interest whatsoever to see the inside. We left. But that did not stop the owner from charging us for the nights stay. Totally uncalled for given the condition of the premises.

Well situated with convenient parking and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The decor is sublime, love stepping back in time and the host is so knowledgeable about the home’s history.

"Nice room, bathroom not so much"

Our host was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was great.

Our room was the only one without an en suite bathroom. Our bathroom was down the hall, very small and no outlets!
