BQ Belvedere Hotel

Let me start with the positives… hotel reception area and rooms are clean. Rooms are a little small. Staff friendly Nice area Negatives… our air con was not working and we approached reception 3 times regarding this but nothing was done. The food is awful, we found chicken kebabs that were raw. There was only one day where food went together otherwise very mix and match and not to a lot of people’s taste. You have no facilities to make a coffee, you get told of if take one out of the restaurant. The only bar open is the pool bar where the queues often were long and a lot of the drinks tasted of chemicals. Plastic cups only. The pool was a good size but the seating area was filthy dirty. I only ever saw it get washed once in my week stay. Spilt drinks, dirt etc made it uncomfortable to walk on. Overall I wouldn’t return here. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Needs lots of improvements

Super freundliches Personal . Sehr gute Auswahl beim Büfett. Zimmer leider nicht so sauber gewesen und wurden auch nicht immer gründlich jeden Tag sauber gemacht . Sehr schöne Anlage

We were happy with our stay at this hotel. Very clean everywhere. Our rooms were quite small, lovely shower and amazing hairdryers in the bathroom. Hotter and more powerful than hairdryer at home. I Couldn’t fault the food at all. It’s just down to personal taste as a couple of our group didn’t love it. The pool is nice and big and deep in most places. Very surprised that no one rushed to get sun beds early, 08.30 is when people start to go out (including me). What lets this hotel down is the quietness during the day and evening. One speaker near the kids pool during the day so the main pool could barely hear the music. Evenings are very quiet, the magic show was good but that had very quiet music playing and no life about it. We found the outside bit where you could sit with drinks in proper glasses (not plastic) and it was very odd. People sitting in silence at tables staring as you walked past. Every bar area should have some music on otherwise it feels very boring.

We’ve just returned from a 4-night stay at BQ Belvedere. It’s a pleasant hotel and we did have a good time, but there are a number of small issues that stop it being as good as it could be. The positives are clear. The hotel is spotless, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful, you see the same faces regularly as it’s a smaller resort, and that gives it a personal feel. The atmosphere around the pool is relaxed, with no scramble for sunbeds and there is plenty of them, and the grounds are well kept even if the facilities are quite simple. Food was a real highlight. Lunch and dinner offered plenty of fresh options, well cooked and good quality for an all-inclusive. The outdoor snack bar serves basic items like pizza, burgers and hotdogs made to order, much better than the usual tray of soggy chips! Table service for drinks at mealtimes was quick and efficient. Rooms are basic but clean and look recently renovated. The shower deserves a mention powerful and modern, which isn’t always a given in these resorts. However, a lot of little inconveniences kept cropping up. Communication was poor from the start: there’s hardly any information about whats on for meals, upcoming activities, or even where things are. We only discovered the Showbar by accident on our last day, and it was empty, likely because no one knew it was there. Air conditioning appears to be an ongoing issue. Ours barely worked, and when I asked at reception I was handed a pre-printed leaflet clearly designed for this complaint. If it’s such a common problem, why not just explain it up front or leave a note in the rooms? Check-in was frustrating. Even after the official check-in time our room wasn’t ready, meaning we had to return three times. When it finally was, we still had to queue behind people doing the full check-in process just to collect our key, wasting more time on our first day. Rooms don’t have a kettle or tea/coffee facilities (we knew this and brought our own travel kettle, but worth noting for others). There is a small fridge, though it barely kept water cold. Around the pool there’s a second bar, but it was nearly always closed, which meant everyone queued at the main bar. The lounge bar has limited opening hours too, so there’s usually only one option for drinks. The on-site shop sells basics but at eye-watering prices, and the all-inclusive drinks were poor (especially the alcoholic ones), we ended up paying extra for premium options by the end of the trip. The poolside entertainment team tried hard, but it wasn’t really our thing. On the plus side, there’s no constant thumping music (makes me sound like an old man I know) the pool area stays relatively quiet and relaxing, but the single short playlist on repeat became noticeable, and sometimes there was no background music at all for hours which affected the atmosphere. Our room view was another let-down, overlooking a disused car park and a flat roof. Obviously, this isn’t something the hotel can control, but if you like spending time on your balcony I’d recommend requesting a pool view in advance. Four nights here felt about right. Overall, BQ Belvedere has the right foundations: it’s clean, staff are friendly, and the food is much better than many all-inclusive hotels. But minor irritations hold it back from being a truly great place to stay - which it could be with just a few small changes.

Check-in wasn't that good as soon as you say "good afternoon" they a binder in front of you with all the hotel information, to be honest is good but could have waited a few minutes. The information about the pool/beach towels is confusing and taking in consideration that you have to pay in CASH, probably this should be mentioned when we booked. Ended up renting one to find out later that the shop downstairs sells towels for €10 (renting + deposit was for us €24 that we got only €10 back when we return the towels). Food was nice and the theme nights were quite good, plenty of choice. Not eco-friendly you won't find a single water foutain around the hotel but we were able to find vending machines.

lobby and swimming pool area is nice, but room are just a bit basic, check in slow, but good thing is staff help to check room once we report the aircon has issue. quiet area, but just a bit harsh to walk to store since is uphill.

Excellent hotel highly recommend. The whole place is very clean and modern, the food selection is fantastic. The beach is only a short walk away, so are shops and the bus stop for Palma. The hotel provide lots of trips and entertainment to join in with if you want to. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would like to go back again
