Hotel Hanselewirt

The hotel is at 5 min (by car) of the castle neuschwanstein. We can see it by the village. For this price, the night was perfect. In a rural little village, cows and smalls streets. Somes good local restaurants right at the corner of the street. Negative point, the room was little.

Fantastic place to stay to visit the castles - Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Some rooms in the hotel even have a beautiful castle view! I would definitely stay there again.

It's next to the main station, which will make it easier to get around the city. Also, Cologne Cathedral is on the other side of the train station and within view from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay and the restaurant was great as well. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Great view of Neuschwanstein Castle from our room!

Beautiful little town with views of Castles.Great breakfast & good restaurant. Unfortunately we were on the top floor so had to carry our suitcases up.Room was very small but okay.

Reasonably priced and comfortable. Included parking and wifi worked well. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, staff were very friendly.

Located in a small hamlet close to everything by the local tram/Bus. HINT buy your Schwangau PASS when you arrive at the hotel, it gets you transportation and discounts in local shops. Front desk was able to book our visit to the two main castles in the area for us, had tickets by the next morning. Staff is friendly and multilingual. Parking is limited OFF STREET FREE.Plentiful German Breakfast,and inexpensive. Hotel has a bar and restaurant on premises. The Beer was Great. Room was Clean,comfortable for two people, NO A/C, But fan in Room was great, Bath room smallish, Shower only, but fine. Tourist information Center, shopping, restaurants, are just two blocks away on main Street-far enough away not to bother the tranquility of the area. This is a great little hotel in a great location.

Lovelly views from the top floor. Great room. Nice breakfast. But some more information in English would be appriceated, for the none german speaking visitors.

The Hotel is in traditional Bavarian style with small windows,curtains with ornaments. Hotel is overpriced because of the castles and tourism. It is very old,but also very clean. The dinner was very delicious,breakfast was also good and included into the hotel price. The ceilings are low,for tall people would be difficult to move :-) location is very good as well,castles are within walking distance 20-30 min walk. There are Great Lakes around the hotel to swim. Wi-Fi was working good.

Hotel rooms were very clean and the cleaning service went above and beyond every day. The hotel staff was helpful in finding what you needed, however it wasn't always easy to communicate in English. The Breakfast spread was very good and we looked forward to it every morning. It was a traditional German spread with regional cheeses, local spring water, meats, breads, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, cereal. Coffee was super good and the cream tasted like it was fresh from the cows next door. Oh, I suppose that would be my one complaint- a cow barn was directly outside of our window so there were strong odors in our room at times. On the flip side, I loved watching them march out to pasture every morning. The location was right near the bus line and a great park, lots of restaurants, a few shops, and a grocery store. A 20 minute walk to the lake. Bike rentals 2 houses down (which is the way to go as far as getting around). Restaurant had fantastic food and service was friendly. Menus in English upon request. I would stay there again.
