DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Leeds City Centre

We entered www.hilton.com to book a room with breakfast at Doubletree in Leeds for the same night. Our friends booked their room separately for the same night also through Hiltons webpage. However, when paid we and also our friends, noticed that they had charged us an additionally 47 euros for the room. We directly called Doubletree Hilton and told them about what happened. They explained that the could not help us, because we had booked through a third party, which we expained we had not done. Two hours later we arrived to the hotel, explaing the same thing and showing them how we had booked through their own homepage. The receptionist phoned the person in charge for reservations, Elenya who adviced us to contact third party. We explained that we had booked through Hiltons own homepage www.hilton.com, but her answer was the same. We told its a problem if a customer turnes to Hiltons websites to book directly, but Hiltons bookingsystem transfer the customer to a third party that charge more, and then disclaim all responsibility by refering the customer to the third party. She said she would look into it..... We did not ge our 47 euros back. Instead we got a cockie....and a 7 euro voucher in their own bar! I would never expect this.

I have stopped here several times in the past but this was our first visit in about three years. The service and facilities were excellent and the breakfast was out of this world. A massive improvement not that it wasn't good on our last visit. The staff were really friendly and professional and the hotel was spotlessly clean.

Excellent Hotel in a stunning location overlooking the start of the Leeds Liverpool Canal and so close to the city centre which was just a few minutes walk. Handy for Leeds Railway Station too which was also only a matter of minutes walk. The room was spotless and the bed comfy, we had a king room with shower and a view of the canal and Granary Wharf. Also had air conditioning and the room was soundproofed. A small fridge with complementary bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and good quality toiletries were all supplied. Breakfast was included in our booking and was served until 10.a.m. There was a huge selection of hot and cold food and an option of having hot food cooked to order from an additional menu. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. If you are visiting Leeds it is an excellent place to stay and I can definitely recommend it.

Lovely comfortable bed and feather pillows. I had a really good night’s sleep.

Very clean, beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Room was lovely with a king size bed. Only slight criticism was that it took a long time to be served in the lock bar which is table service only.

I was nannying for my family who where seeing there sister in an iron man ! The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful the rooms are spacious and very clean and the views are amazing !! Breakfast is lovely too such a menu to choose from kids were in there element . I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

Excellent one night stay, central, although parking was a bit annoying. Hotel would not let me in despite spaces being available.

A stone’s throw from the city centre but a lovely location on the canal and nice restaurant and a separate sky lounge for eats and drinks. Very clean and tidy hotel

Stayed to visit for our son’s graduation. Really helpful staff let us check in at 11am as our room was ready early. The rooms are exceptionally clean and definitely soundproofed as we overlooked Leeds railway station but couldn’t hear anything at all from there. Breakfast was really good. Unfortunately we didn’t get time to sample the rooftop cocktail bar. Close enough to the city centre to walk in, perfect for getting the train and even driving in was simple (which is unusual for Leeds). Even though the hotel car park was full there was an overnight, manned car park next door for the same price. Overall, definitely recommended for an overnight stay in Leeds.
