Serenity Alpha Beach

Had a very pleasant stay for 4 nights. Food was excellent and all staff were friendly.

The reason for the 3/5 is that this is not a 5 star hotel. The room although clean shout out to our cleaner Abdul Hamid who was excellent, requires upgrading as they were dated. On arrival at 19.30 our mini bar was not stocked, only 2 bottles of water and no welcome basket. Our room was a pool view (just) on the ground floor (2046) which was opposite the salty quiet pool which was great. Please stop advertising international drinks. There was one brand of each drink. I have travelled extensively and I’ve never heard of ID vodka, Auld stag whiskey or Butlers gin. Although slightly better than local brands they were still poor. Food was ok in the main buffet, not a large choice but there was always something we could eat. The Ala carte restaurants we tried (Indian & Italian) were very good but booking them on the app was really difficult but the customer relations booked them for us so , Tip - always bring your issues to the attention of the staff as they always tried to solve them. For this I would rate the staff 5/5. When we highlighted the lack of a mini bar and our friend’s leaking shower (room 2044). They instantly upgraded us to purple wrist bands, normally given to repeat guests. This allowed us access to the Bay Watch restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. We found this quieter and food quality better. Wahled (spelling please forgive me) and his team were brilliant. Mansoor who managed the pool area , gave out towels etc was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and always attentive. He also offered us a do not disturb sign which indicated to sales people I.e fruit juices sellers beauty spa and tattooist etc didn’t bother us. Amir working the bar was also excellent, continuously asked what we wanted and quick to deliver drinks. The hotel is lovely, the grounds are well maintained and the guys who worked the pier were also excellent and passionate in protecting the coral which is well worthwhile seeing so go snorkelling. You can buy masks in the local shop. Trips and activities can be booked at the hotel but we found Ali Baba tours were very good and reasonably priced. Took a day trip to Luxor and as we left at 05.30 the hotel gave us a breakfast pack which we ordered the day before.

I expected so much more based on the reviews and the extensive research I did before booking. Aesthetically, the resort was beautiful, with stunning landscaped gardens and pretty red brick paths. It was nice to have the beach at the end of the gardens, with beach-facing restaurants for al-fresco dining. The superior room was large and spacious, but the furniture was outdated and tired. The room was dirty, and the cleaner kept forgetting to replenish the coffee/tea. The room was cleaned on a fundamental level every day. The room was situated close to amenities but secluded enough for peaceful sleep. The service in the resort restaurants was basic; the staff seemed lazy and did just enough. Lunch orders were sent back three times. The staff in the cocktail bar were incapable of making basic cocktails. The reception team were fantastic and set a high standard. The buffet selection in the main restaurant was average, with no plant-based options and limited variety. The quality of the food was cheap. The NYE dinner and evening entertainment were exceptional, but the cocktails were awful, and the animation team missed the countdown. The couple that we sat with made the evening. The hotel and the rooms are in desperate need of a renovation compared to the Hurghada resorts. I would never stay here again.

What a lovely hotel. The staff work so hard. We wanted for nothing. It was spotless. The buffet restaurants were spotless on, but we tried some of the other restaurants too. The Italian and Moroccon do a good steak. The onion bargies and shrimp curry were lovely in the Indian restaurant. We stayed mainly around the relaxing pools and had lunch at the beach bar. The animation team work none stop and politely ask if you want to join in, but they are not pushy. We especially got on with Ellie May, she was so helpful and lovely. Ask the towel man to give you a " Do not disturb" sign for your loungers and the massage salons leave you alone. We stayed in rooms 3213 and 3215. Great locations. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful time at the Serenity Alpha Beach Hotel over Christmas. Hotel and all staff are amazing. Food and drink were so good and our room was kept spotlessly clean by Ahmed who couldn’t do enough for us and provided us with daily towel animals he made. He really made our holiday. All staff are amazing and are so helpful and just want you to enjoy your holiday. I enjoyed going to Yoga, stretching classes and aqua fit and the entertainment team are enthusiastic and friendly. Ellie (from Scunthorpe) from the Entertainment team always came over for a chat when we saw her on the beach and around hotel. Beach was nice and snorkelling good but was quite windy for a day or two whilst we were there so water was quite choppy but did get better. We highly recommend this hotel and would certainly love to return again in the future. Thank you for a great stay and to your lovely staff who always have a smile and can’t do enough for you.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! The staff cannot do enough to help you. Great food, stunning location with a dive centre 2 minutes walk away! Thoroughly recommend the Luxor and Bianca island trips. Snorkelling on the house reef was beautiful and you are really looked after by staff on the pier itself. Myself and my son had an awesome time. Rooms were really spacious and comfortable. Can really recommend this gem of a hotel.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to spend their holiday in a clean, calm and peaceful environment, where everything is provided for perfect relaxation. For me, it was a special value that there are no water slides and no constantly loud, overwhelming music. This was a solo trip, and I was able to completely recharge and truly rest. Every single waiter, receptionist and staff member was incredibly kind, warm and welcoming. The coral reef beach by the hotel is absolutely stunning. Watching the beautiful fish, I could feel in every moment how my soul and nervous system were regenerating. This whole experience was a perfect holiday for me, and I am endlessly grateful to all the staff for it. The food was also delicious and of excellent quality. I would especially like to highlight the singer who performed on several evenings, including the evening of January 8, singing classic songs. I will remember her wonderful voice forever — she sang in such a heartfelt and touching way. I truly hope this feedback reaches her, because she gave me so much. She is definitely someone worth paying attention to, as her performances are elegant, emotional and of very high quality. She touched me deeply; it was one of the most beautiful evenings of my life. I am very grateful that I could experience all of this. I loved every single moment of this holiday, and I cannot wait to return. Thank you for everything. 🙏❤️

It was a brilliant holiday at this property, everyone has been very hospitable Osama from reception, khaled from restaurant , Ahmed from restaurant almost everyone was very attentive and respectful (apologies as I cannot remember everyone names)… I’ll be back there soon

The hotel appearance looks amazing, upon checking in, the staff are attentive to one’s needs. Food 10/10 Ambience 10/10 Hospitality 9/10 House keeping 10/10 Entertainments 9/10 The beach is accessible through the beautiful grounds. This beach is not suitable for young children. The sea is difficult to get into. Sea shoes are a must. 4/10. Ideal for adults to relax in the sunshine. I rate this hotel as 8.5/10
