Large room was good

No jug in the room. No one answered phones between 9am and my check in time at 2pm. Nowhere to safely store bags after checking out before flight. Was no one on reception at 11am when I checked out. Rang the phone at the desk was told to put bags in an unlocked cupboard near reception, which didn’t feel secure . I also asked for a flatter pillow was told all pillows are the same. Not much care for guests but I guess it was a cheaper option than others in Christchurch that day. If you are a light sleeper would not recommend booking here as traffic is very loud with a busy intersection below. On booking.com it says that there are spa baths. This is partly incorrect as spa functions no longer work and will not be repaired apparently.

Air conditioning unit very loud but did help drown out traffic noise

Clean and comfortable

No view or privacy as window opened on to a 2 tier carpark. Visiting from Australia and expected a view of the park perhaps??

The location was excellent. Close to the park and walking distance to CBD

Room was not serviced every day as advertised. Reception not not available at all times. Strong food odours present constantly in hallways and common areas.

The housekeeping did not service the room for the second day despite request. Only on the third day it was done upon request and only done partly. The bed did not get done.
