The only real problem is the lack of any A/C in this building. The bedrooms have some ceiling fans, but that is about tit. So during a heatwave like the one that occurred while I was there it was very difficult to sleep. People staying during the summer should keep this in mind. This residence is slightly run down, but most of the facilities worked fine. Including what I used of the full kitchen (there was no microwave standard in the unit). However the shower was a bit rusty and many of the fixtures showed some wear.
We didn't enjoy stay, housekeeping was noy there.. garbage collection was not serve. Not clean and staff was not friendly or helping if you need there assistance.
The staff is very nice there. . They help you whenever you need. But worst thing is it’s really hot. Can’t sleep there. We got heat stroke there and we left one day before
This property should be rated one star. It is the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in. Youth hostels are be better. Having said that, the location was great. Close to subway and convenient for a 25-20 min walk to downtown. They are uni accomodation not upgraded since the 1960’s. A kitchen with a jug, fridge, toaster. Bathroom with shower, toilet. If you dare open the oven as I did - putrid. But to their credit the oven was replaced with a brand new oven the day after when I brought it to their attention. The cleaners had also cleaned the accomodation. I think this was thanks to John/Gean (apologies re spelling) who was manning the security desk and was extremely helpful, polite and accomodating. He went out of his way to address the issues on my check in. Key that didn’t lock the apartment, moved to different floor. Then the key did not lock that door. Moved to different room. The mattress has the same vinyl cover it did from the 60’s or 70’. I know, as I am a nurse and we used to have them on hospital beds in the 70’s. Bed only covered with a sheet. I remade with a blanket under the sheet. Made it a bit more comfortable. But in this day and age - unacceptable. When I asked for another towel, soap and a blanket they were supplied no problem. I brought to the cleaners attention that there was only one mug and not enough cutlery and crockery for me let alone potentially 6. Also supplied no problem. No detergent to wash up. No kitchen utilities. I made do regardless.
Very uncomfortable.
Student small room... Hot in summer and car noise with window open. For the price during F1; it's OK
Convenient location; the studio is okay; the regular price is reasonable; good access to publuc transport (buses, metro). Close to busy areas (place des Arts, quartier chinois, etc.), so safe to walk.
..
Very nice Reception/staff. Very clean room. Great location. Reasonable price. Will stay again.
Planned a weekend in downtown Montreal photos indicated a small but clean living area. In reality it was muggy the room fan barely worked as soon as we walked in it smelt terrible had to spray the room to make the smell bearable. Had a shared bathroom which was disgusting the toilet was not clean at all. The space had no trash can provided anywhere; the room, bathroom or kitchen. Will not be staying again.
