Best Western Plus Chena River Lodge

Very disappointing. We have stayed in this property often, this experience was our worst. Rude service at check in counter. Toilet seat broken, paint peeling, tiles missing in bathroom, aircon not working, carpets not vaccumed. Property is overrun with “questionable charactered people” who have minimal respect… from littering, weed smoking, mass food/coffee collection from breakfast, whom all seem to know each other and have group loud gatherings. This property should not be considered for traveling international families and Best Western should remove their name. Later found out this hotel is used via TCC housing, not sure what this means but really is irrelevant as common courtesy should prevail. Best thing about property is Bernie from breakfast, he was always welcoming, friendly and happy. Thankyou Bernie!

Clean, comfortable - bedding was very nice (love quilts). "Typical" breakfast, nothing special but satisfactory. Fred Meyer and Safeway across the street if you wish to pick up a frozen dinner to microwave rather than going out to a restaurant. Website is misleading in that this location does not have an airport shuttle. Cab was $15.00.

The toilet lid/seat was only attached by one bolt and slid off when in use. Trim on base of bathroom door was loose and fell off causing me to trip. Thermostat was nonfunctional so room was too hot unless windows kept open. Otherwise room was very nice and in good location.

Key card was having some issues, but other than that, it was fine.

First room: stains on carpet. Room too small for furniture - bed was 6 inches from the wall! Chair stuffed into a corner. Walls so thin you could hear people talking next door when you were trying to sleep. Same with thin ceilings - we could hear people walking around above us. Tub does not drain unless you turn off the water while it drains and you stand there freezing. Otherwise your feet would not be clean. Sink drains very slowly also so you have to turn it off to let it drain while brushing your teeth or washing your face. It was supposed to be an accessible room but that was not the case as the tub was dangerous for a fit person as you had to step up over a high edge and then step DOWN over the side to get out! Breakfast was not good at all. The bottom of the tub felt really weak and we were afraid we would fall through.

Quick and easy access to the airport. Good breakfast.

Staff great, easy off highway,
