Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel

Probably the best hotel in the area. Surroundings are a little rough.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western. The room came with complimentary WiFi, breakfast, and everything was very clean.

The customer service was good, and the breakfast was fine. The bed seemed clean, but the floor of the room was filthy. There was limited parking on-site, so we had to park at a lot a couple of blocks away the first night.

Everything-staff, breakfast, wi-fi, proximity to subway- was great. The neighborhood is shabby but felt safe.

The location is a winner. Super close to the subway. The staff were all efficient and were friendly. Breakfast was a good spread. Room was clean. My stay here made my trip to NYC a very memorable one. Thank you.

We've stayed here several times since 2011. We feel kinda loyal to the place. Sure, the surroundings ain't great. But we don't need the area to be Times Square! We just need a reliable place. Actually, we don't mind the area. We walk up to a fabulous diner called the Bel Aire in Astoria. I strongly recommend a visit. The reason we originally chose this place other than price, was the fact that you're a couple of stops from Central Park which my kids adored (still do). There's also the beautiful Roosevelt Island one stop on the F train. Awesome place for running or a stroll. Superb views of Manhattan!

Location is not good, near housing projects and far walk from dining options. TV remote didn't work, staff responded slowly, couldn't resolve problem before I asked them to leave (so I could shower for dinner) and asked for return maintenance visit after 9AM the next day, which never happened (I took TV off the wall and resolve issue: dust-coated signal receiver). Furniture more badly scratched and worn than almost anything I've seen curbside for garbage pick-up in NYC. On the plus side: spacious by NYC standards, extremely comfortable bed, very clean (in areas accessible to housekeeping staff), front desk staff friendly.

clean and nice rooms, hotel overall is ok but the stuff uses 1 of 2 elevators all morning and it's impossible to get up to the higher floor. I stayed at the 8th floor and after 45min wait for the elevator, as there is just 1 for all the guests I had to walk up to the 8th floor.

Spent three nights at this hotel. Clean rooms, breakfast included and walking distance to the subway. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and super nice. No need to pay Manhattan prices when you can stay here and hop on the subway and I’m 10 minutes you are in Manhattan.
