Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Having stayed at several hotels in Vegas, this was the best stay I have had so far. I found the beds at the Wynn to be more comfortable than the Waldorf (they were a bit sunken in) but the Waldorf room was quiet and hotel amenities were top notch: Nespresso machine in room, Aesop products, high quality à la carte breakfast, great spa, and central location. As a Hilton Gold/Amex FHR guest I was upgraded to a higher floor (though in the same room category). I messaged the hotel in advance to request an earlier afternoon check-in given I had a very long travel day, but was advised to pay for the night before to guarantee that (fair given it’s based on availability but still a surprising response instead of “we’ll do our best to accommodate based on availability” which is what I was hoping for an Amex FHR booking. Sure enough, an earlier afternoon check-in upon arrival was unavailable but the front desk agent offered a suite for immediate check-in at an additional charge, which I declined given it was only a few hours until check in time. The staff across every department were amazing; Spa staff - proactive and helpful, breakfast and rooftop bar staff - excellent, doormen, concierge and housekeeping staff, all very friendly. They were truly very kind and made it a very enjoyable stay. The only issue I had was with the billing at the end of the stay, some credits weren’t applied correctly and an incorrect minibar charge was assigned. That being said, I would happily return.

I have a but allergy which I alerted them to when we made the reservation. Basically they must make almost everything with nuts because instead of any variety I got 2 sandwiches with virtually nothing but a tiny bit of cucumber or avocado. No variety for dessert either 2 of the same. The deserts we got were good. The scones were excellent. The view and service were great but if you have a nut allergy expect very expensive bread instead of high tea. Very disappointing. We were there around 3 years ago and it was great lots of variety. We go for high tea regularly all over the world ( likely 30 times) and without a doubt this was the most disappointing high tea we have had.

I recently stayed here for a quick weekend getaway because all my first choices (e.g., Honolulu) were too expensive for President's Day weekend and my last time in Vegas was almost three years ago. I have always wanted to stay again in the CityCenter area (now Aria Campus) after staying at Aria in 2012, but was unable to find a good deal until now. This was my first time ever staying at a Waldorf Astoria and I was very impressed. I requested a quiet room on a high floor and got one which was also remarkably spacious. The view of Aria and Vdara from the room was breathtaking. Also, the front desk clerk let me check in early for no additional fee. No unusual sights, sounds, or smells noted. The room was well-designed and maintained in excellent condition. The bed was wonderful and I slept well. For supplies, there is a CVS Pharmacy conveniently located just around the corner. The swimming pools are not large, but they are kept very warm in the winter and are long enough for swimming laps. I enjoyed swimming on all three days of my visit. All staff encountered were professional and polite at all times. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-maintained property with a convenient location right off the Las Vegas Strip. Unlike many Las Vegas hotels, this is not a gaming hotel, so you don't have to walk half a mile through a noisy, smoke-filled casino just to reach the hotel lobby or the elevator lobby. Now here are the downsides. This is what we all read Tripadvisor for. There is no direct elevator access from the lobby level to the room levels. You must transfer at level three to another elevator lobby. The corridor between the two runs right past the hotel's main restaurant, Zen Kitchen, meaning that it is often congested around breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The Waldorf Astoria shares the adjacent parking garage with the Aria's self-park garage, but this hotel has no self-park, only mandatory valet parking in the basement levels of that garage at $45/day. I did not get a rental car for this trip for that very reason and had to rely on rideshares (Uber/Lyft) and public transportation (the RTC buses) to get around. The fitness center is not open 24 hours, which one would expect considering the Waldorf Astoria's exorbitant resort fee. The fitness center features TechnoGym equipment, which will be familiar to foreigners but may be annoying to Americans accustomed to Life Fitness and/or Hammer Strength equipment. The swimming pool area is on the top level of the Aria self-park garage but is divided from the rest of that level by tall sound walls. The pools are long but narrow. In the winter, the pools and the surrounding chairs and cabanas are not crowded at all, but I can see them becoming easily crowded in the summer months. Aria, Park MGM, Bellagio, Vdara, and the Cosmopolitan are directly linked by a vast network of enclosed corridors into a single giant temperature-controlled complex. The Waldorf Astoria is directly adjacent but is not part of that complex. In the winter, this can be inconvenient because Waldorf guests must bundle up to go outside after dark or use private cars to go short distances. However, after careful reflection, these are all minor issues, so I am still rating this place as a five. I don't know if I can ever get such a great deal again at the Waldorf Astoria, but if I can find one, I will definitely be back.

Quiet luxurious location right in the middle of the strip. Nice staff, good food, quick service. The spa gives some of the best massages in the world and the bed was extremely soft. Huge bathrooms in the rooms too. Very nice

An exceptional hotel offering truly world-class service. The rooms are elegant and classy, with an understated splendor that feels both refined and welcoming. Staff are attentive without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. One of the greatest pleasures on this trip was staying in a Las Vegas hotel completely free from the repulsive smoke odors so common elsewhere. The absence of a casino is a huge advantage—there’s no need to pass through a smoke-filled gambling floor just to get to your room. A refreshing and sophisticated oasis in Vegas. Book it!

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Waldorf. Beautiful building, smelled so nice. Very friendly, attentive but relaxed staff through the whole hotel, including restaurant, spa, housekeeping and front desk. Short walk to Crystals mall, Aria, Cosmo. Lively rooftop bar and afternoon tea with great views. Room was spacious, clean, amazing bath products. Spa area with lots of amenities to use before/after treatment. Rooftop pools, heated (too cold for me in January but enjoyed the outdoor space). Even when we had an issue with our room safe, security team was prompt and professional in helping. Only issue is it attracts families since it’s smoke free, so pool area can get a little loud, even with an adults pool. We tend to come to Vegas for relaxing adult time, so will watch if this is an issue next time, as we definitely plan to stay again!

This place is amazing! It’s new and the room was very comfortable and modern. I also enjoyed that it doesn’t have a casino so it was very calming to return to the hotel after going out. All the employees we interacted with were very kind and nice to us.

Stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for 2 nights. As a Hilton Diamond member, our room was upgraded to one with a view of the strip. Immediately to the right of the room entrance, was a small hallway with a closet, valet closet, drawers which included a safe, and 2 robes and slippers. We had a king bed parallel to the window. The bed faced a dresser and TV. The dresser had a minibar and Nespresso machine. Perpendicular to the dresser was a desk. A sofa and coffee table faced the bed. The room was quiet and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. A small fridge would’ve been helpful. Would definitely stay here again
