Cleaniness and service

We stayed in a 2 bedroom lake view room. The view is amazing.

Taking rubbish to the bins is difficult and bins should be provided near units 2 and 3. It's 67 stairs down to them then back up. Ensuite shower leaks onto the bathroom floor. Only 1 pot and 1 pan provided in kitchen otherwise well equipped.

The room was clean and very comfortable

I booked a lake front room. Don’t bother as you have to drag your bags down three flights of stairs. The view from the upstairs room would be much better. The whole property looks unloved and dirty on the outside. The rubbish area was full of overflowing rubbish. The stairs down to lake front are full of weeds. I probably wouldn’t stay again. The room was clean and comfortable . A wine glass was dirty with liquid in the bottom and lipstick from previous guest and only one champagne flute. We couldn’t get heater working but didn’t really need it as weather was superb.

Accomodation was lovely, with fully equiped kitchen, great bathroom, we had a fantastic view of the lake & mountains in a our lake front room.

Unfortunately the walking track along Lake Wakatipu was closed, (which was no fault of Villa del Lago's) the local council had closed it. Would have been nice to have been able to walk along. Otherwise less than a 5 minute drive into Queenstown.

Fabulous location with stunning view across the lake

We only needed to use two of the three bedrooms a both had wonderful views. Bathrooms had lovely fluffy towels. Top floor bedroom had no view and access to bathroom was two floors away.
