Best Western Plaza Hotel Hamburg

We had a good time in Hamburg - in a different area to where we've been before. We used the city as a base to explore Hannover, Lûbeck, Berlin and Bremen more, as well as Bremerhafen for the first time. We also re-visited favourite parts of the city - especially Miwula, Miniatur Wunderland - a must for all visitors to Hamburg! The detail in the new display of Italy, featuring Rome, is stunning! The weather was quite mild, but a bit cloudy and foggy at times, but that didn't dampen our enjoyment. The various Christmas markets we visited did not disappoint. We will be back, perhaps at a different season of the year - so that we can take in more transport museums!

We decided to stay here (with reservations due to a few reviews we read regarding a mold smell in the room) for our weekend trip to the Christmas markets and I'm so glad we did. The hotel staff was great! They were friendly and professional and accommodating. The room itself was clean and spacious and not moldy smelling. We arrived early and checked-in in order to drop our bags with the front desk and head into town to wait for our room to be ready. To our surprise we were let right into our room before the check in time. Upon checkout we were allowed a late checkout which allowed our son to take a nap before leaving. We were very happy with this hotel booking, it's location and accommodations and would recommend it to others.

The hotel was great -- big, roomy, modern. The restaurant right downstairs was delicious and convenient. We arrived in the central bus station from Hamburg, and took the train to the hotel. It was convenient that the hotel was directly outside the U-Bahn station and so close to the airports with taxis outside in the early morning. The room was also HUGE.

Comfy rooms and does what it says on the tin. The neighborhood is a bit noisy but overall a good experience. Good, no frills hotel with excellent service.
