Iberostar Waves Tucán - All Inclusive

Second time staying here and both were excellent experiences. Beautiful grounds and the staff are so friendly and work so hard. Looking forward to returning soon.

The property was beautiful. Great food! Staff were amazing!

Food was excellent, 99% of the staff was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Only real negative was them trying to push the coupons on you.

Lots of animals and natural habitats

The vegetation and the scenery is beautiful. When it rains it looks like paradise. The rooms are always clean and over all the staff is nice. What I appreciated the most was Star Camp for the kids. The ladies (ALL of them) and Paco are hands down THE BEST. Be sure your little ones will be in good hands, having fun, and exploring. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star is because I do feel that at the buffets, servers can be more attentive with refills, removing plates, and just making sure the guest is good. I was there for over a week and the first 5 days my very small party and I were almost ignored as it seemed larger parties were favored or paid much more attention to. However, the 2 servers that seemed to be ontop of it all, giving 100% service, were Isauro and Roberto at the Cozumel Buffet. Every time we were helped ans served by either gentleman we had an amazing meal with replaced silverware, wine, tea, napkins, converasations, and always made us feel welcomed. They were super sweet to my little guy also. The other reason is because upon checking in I was expected to pay an additonal $400 because aparently on their side it said i had bookes my reservation for aduls and an infant. My itinerary said child not infant. Checking in took almost 2 hrs till the problem was solved. The resort is also quit pricy should you need anything. You are looking at $20 for bug spray. Other than that everything else is great.

The animals on property were a big hit for our adult children and ourselves! The dining options were awesome (esp Japonese!) We loved every staff and wish we could have stayed! We were there during a time of high sargassum and this was not even an issue as we had so much to do on property. The beach/sand was still beautiful, the pool was awesome and so many activities. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed the natural environment with wildlife and waterfalls, the delicious food and drinks, the attentive staff, the beautiful pools, and beach. Unfortunately, the seaweed was very thick on the beach during our visit but good attempts were made to remove it.

This is my 2nd stay on this property. It has changed since my 1st. The most remarkable is the wildlife on the property is amazing. Many Caotis, Flamingos, Neutra looking rodents, tortoise, and Peacocks. I learned they caged the howling monkeys. Didn't see any this time but occasionally heard them, unlike last time I saw them a great deal during my stay.. Did see a couple spider monkeys. I enjoyed the monkeys most.

Well kept and friendly. The wildlife is a huge bonus to the property.

Very nice hotel , negatives the rooms are outdated need a little TLC, but very clean , the food is very good. The beach beautiful. The staff is excellent. It is close to playa del carmen , you take a taxi for 10 dollars from the hotel to plays del carmen . I will come back next year.
