Staff were excellent. We were particularly impressed with Danielle & Anita, who both worked exceptionally hard in the pool bar.

Cons: the dinner was so bad I had to take away a star. It was $40pp for a tasting menu, and I couldn’t believe how bad the food was. It was like the blandest microwaveable meal I’d ever tasted. We ate dinner offsite the rest of our trip. For breakfast, I watched them fill the water dispenser from the tap. Then when I tried to order tap water later on they told me that wasn’t allowed and I had to buy water bottles. That feels very wasteful to me when it’s apparent the water is fine since they serve it to guests. Pros: the view from the rooftop was fantastic, rooms have AC and were clean. Great breakfast selection. Lunch was pretty good. The drinks were okay but pricier for the area.

We could not fault anything with this hotel. To start with it looks amazing when you enter the reception. The staff rushed to be behind the reception desk to make sure we were attended to straight away and were very welcoming, the check in process was very quick and a pleasure. The room had everything you could want, maybe not as freshly decorated as some we had stayed in but exceptionally clean. The bed was so comfortable, everyone we chatted to said the same. Our room was serviced daily. The rooftop pool and bar area offers great views of Riva, they are breath taking. My favourite time of day was breakfast and being able to eat in such surreal surroundings. The breakfast was lovely, fresh and plentiful with a good selection and egg/pancake station. No catering for 'brits abroad' which I loved, traditional, tasty and fresh. Our evening meal was at our designated table which we chose and was perfect, we made friends with both couples either side and spent most evenings together at the roof top bar enjoying the entertainment. The restaurant food was delicious, varied and absolutely fine dining. It was always hot and each course was served by the fabulous staff who took the time to describe what you were about to eat and also make sure you enjoyed it, they even offered alternatives if you had made a wrong choice and didn't like the food. The wine selection was great, we shared a Merlot each night and it was just the best ever. Drinks from the bar were not expensive and the happy hour was a great touch with nibbles served too. The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the lake, Riva centre, Torboli, the ferry's and many local attractions, restaurants, bars and shops. The buses are frequent if you wish to explore the area and if you get a guest card from the hotel you get free bus travel in the area, free admission to some attractions and discounts on others such as the Ferry. However, the best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are just so friendly, attentive, helpful and hard working. from the moment you appear at breakfast they are there offering you tea, coffee and a table that suits you with shade if you prefer. They were always polite, informative and nothing was too much trouble. The owner said that first and foremost his staff were considered family, secondly as staff. Most of them had been there for many years. I would definitely recommend visiting this hotel

We are here right now I can’t wait to write a review. It’s absolutely brilliant. Stunning The staff are just amazing from reception to house keeping. And as for the restaurant and bar staff. The best ever. And we thought our hotel in Sorrento was tops last year The food is impeccable. It’s like eating in the best Italian restaurant every night. And we have 3 nights to go And the wine choices are fantastic too ( we do like our wine ❤️) We are on the second floor to the front of the hotel and it’s superb there would be no room that wouldn’t be good anyway The rooftop pool. Bar. For breakfast is simply stunning Again. The staff are the best in our years of travel Signore Tonnelli. Grazie Mille

Returned 4 days ago from a break at Kristal Palace Hotel in Riva Del Garda. I have to say that we had an excellent week and that is mainly down to the hotel itself. Riva is a beautiful enough place but the hotel surpassed all our expectations! The food was great, the rooms are spacious and spotless, location very good but above all else the staff at Kristal Palace gave us a service that is not easily found these days, anywhere! From the reception staff to the restaurant and beyond, they all went the extra mile to ensure our stay was the best it could be. Special mention to Massimo, Zane, Juri but in fairness everyone from the owner to the shuttle driver helped make our stay a memorable one! Thank you Kristal Palace, we will return!!

Amazing hotel, amazing staff and amazing food. The hotel is located on a quiet street behind the main road. Great location for the lake and old town. The hotel is not too big and is mostly couples. Spotlessly clean rooms and all hotel areas. The food was amazing. Staff were all very polite and helpful. The rooftop bar and pool stunning as were the views from here. My only little moan is the wardrobes in the room. They are faux leather padded sliding doors which had peeled away in places and were very hard to open and close at times, at times it felt like the wardrobes/doors were going to fall on you. And lack of Drawers. Would I go back. Definitely.

Fabulous hotel We booked a weeks holiday with TUI and were based at this wonderful hotel The hotel is based approx a 15-minute walk from Riva del Garda old town. The town is very pretty and it is from here you pock up the ferry to various locations around the lake. The hotel staff are amazing, from reception to dining to bar staff, could not fault them. Like others have mentioned the food is outstanding 5 course meal every evening with the half board option. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, is buffet, again lovely. Ensure you ask for the guest card at reception. This gives you free bus travel and good discounts on the ferries. The roof top pool is heated with lovely views. We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Thank you

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff are all lovely, helpful and very professional. The food is amazing, and we loved the extra attention to detail like the tote bag for the pool. Can't wait to return to Riva so we can stay here again.

Kristal Palace Hotel is my favourite TUI hotel I have stayed in. Everything about it was exceptional! The food was fantastic: four course fine dining every evening, where there was something for everyone. The staff at this hotel were wonderful, attentive, friendly and always helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Just back from our 2nd stay in this wonderful hotel. Room a little tired but so am I. The sky pool is wonderful with stunning views of the lake and mountains. Food is simply stunning. The jewel of the crown is the staff- from reception to dining room to bat to cleaning- everyone is superb and cannot do enough to help and ensure your stay is memorable. Entertainment is top drawer. No minuses at all
