Khaolak Laguna Resort

We recently stayed at the Khaolak Laguna Resort as a family of four. We were blown away with how beautiful the resort was, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed all the dining experiences and facilities offered by the resort. The resort is located in a beautiful spot, nice and quiet but close enough to restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back!

Veldig flott hotell og område. Bodde i Honeymoon bungalow med sjøutsikt. Var helt perfekt! Synd at stranden drar ned opplevelsen her. Der var det søppel, glass-skår og ikke like fin som på bildene. Heldigvis ble vi tipset om en helt nydelig strand i nærheten. Maten var bra på restauranten. Fikk med oss nydelig solnedgang

Traditional Thai decor, sunset views, friendly staff, plenty of sun beds, great service at the spa.

The fact that at high tide the sea at the main beach pounds against brick wall, making swimming impossible.

Absolutely beautiful resort with large rooms and gardens. The pool area is situated directly next to the beach that is easily accessible. Really good breakfast and very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again!

Stayed in a beach front villa which was very good.check in staff are very good having said that all staff are friendly and pleased to help.breakfast buffet is ok with a reasonable selection to accommodate just about everyone. A good solid choice and at the start of the main strip of restaurants etc.

Authentic Thai Style Architecture

Beautiful location and the rooms were spacious and clean.

The aircon was not fantastic and very noisy. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as a lot of steps to get to the restaurant

The magical, traditional, Thai architecture of the resort and it’s beautiful landscaped gardens provide an elegant and chilled-out vibe which is really relaxing. The resort and it’s rooms (which include lovely, varnished hardwood floors) are spacious and the long, interesting and attractive beach meanders for many kilometres. Great for walking and soaking-up the beautiful scenery. Outside the resort there are plenty of food adventures close by with great value Thai food and checking restaurant reviews on Tripadvisor can save time narrowing down the choices! Recommendations to the resort: 1) Because of changes in tidal action by the sea in the last couple of years the resort’s steps down to the beach mostly no longer reach the sandy floor. The resort needs to rebuild all their steps to fix this problem. 2) In a number of the resort’s outside areas the quality of the wood varnish needs attention, e.g. flooring, needs a better coat of varnish or replacing with higher quality decking-wood. 3) The lighting in the rooms’ bathrooms is a bit feeble, especially above washbasins and mirrors and extra lighting would definitely improve the situation. Overall verdict: This resort has the classic Thai architecture that is so authentic and soulful. A wonderful contrast to more modern hotels of the general ‘international’ design.
