Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda - All Inclusive

Unfortunately this hotel is average. Dominicans in general have the worst customer service ever. The food was average (always the same). We saw roaches at the Italian restaurant. The waiters are terrible. You’ve to go and get your own drinks. Be ready to serve yourself if you want to get good service haha. Cleaning was average. The main pool was ok. Entertainment was okay. I’ve traveled with 2 kids (10&8) the water park in this hotel was for toddlers. The shows were boring only few were good. We’re not coming back. At least this hotel is not for us. The beach has a lot of seaweed and the smell omg. They’re not maintaining the access to the beach. Very disappointing because the beach is beautiful. No nos gusto este hotel. La pasamos bien, pero no fue lo que esperabamos!

Friendly staff

The staff made my kids and i feel so comfortable and for me that kind of service is priceless. Friendly and hostes people. JULIS , JUAN , AND SO MANY MORE front desk . Ramon fron one of the pool bar . Everyone i encounter there was just amazing.

Estrutura, localização e praia.

Forte Cultura de gorjeta, se você não paga o garçom, você espera demais sua bebida. Não tem um bar próximo a piscina das crianças, então os pais precisam se afastar muito para pegar qualquer tipo de bebida. Informações não são claras. Quando falta algum item, equipe não se importa de repor, apenas fala que acabou. Equipe parece pouco treinada e com pouco desejo de atender, passam a maior parte do tempo conversando entre si.

Beautiful hotel rooms and some lovely restaurants

This hotel is not 5 star. If you are used to 5 star hotels/service in the UK and Europe, don't book. Huge management issue, staff not motivated and come across miserable. Miserable bar staff, Unhygienic Maid service, smelly beach, $55 for Hawaiian tropic sun cream, have to pre book meals before you go Made formal complaint and asked to speak to management and nothing happened. No one cares. No complaints process.

Staff was excellent. The food was great in the restaurants. The pools were clean and not overly crowded. However, the beach was a huge disappointment with all the seaweed. No one around cleaning it up.

Bueno en General. La transportación de carritos dentro del hotel no es muy eficiente, ya que el hotel es grande y para desplazarse hay que esperar a que pasen a llevarte. Es necesario planificarse para no llegar tarde a las reservaciones. Los carros no están claramente identificados.El cuarto limpio y con el equipo estándar de hotel, aunque el aire acondicionado no enfría muy bien y la mini-nevera, tampoco. Los empleados fueron amables y respetuosos. La calidad de la comida en el buffet es buena, pero los restaurantes especializados ofrecen una calidad regular, bastante básica y la espera en ocasiones fue larga. El entretenimiento y los shows, aunque sencillos, son buenos y los bailarines son talentosos!! El ambiente muy pasivo para nuestro gusto. La playa no sirve, demasiado sargazo. Nuestros dos adolescentes no tenían muchas alternativas, aparte de la piscina, por lo que se aburrieron con facilidad. La zona exterior del hotel estaba sucia debido a la gran cantidad de construcciones en las áreas circundantes. Realmente es mejor quedarse dentro del hotel, y si se sale, que sea para algún tour, fuimos a los Buggies. Son agresivos en la oferta de los planes Privilege de la cadena hotelera; no son claros cuando te invitan asistir a una orientación de 1 hora que en realidad es para vender un plan exclusivo y bastante costoso. Los vendedores son hábiles y manejan la situación para que se te dificulte rechazar la oferta.Todo estuvo bien, pero optaremos por opción en el futuro.

My overall experience was okay . Staff was amazing though. They really made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond for us . I wouldn’t return to this hotel due to the air conditioning . We spend a lot of money coming on vacation and all we want at the end of a long day in the sun is to come to a hotel room that’s cold. If this changes in the future I’d reconsider coming back. Next vacation we will consider a different resort.
