Бронировали номер в начале мая, даты были 31.08-1.09 = одна ночь. но несмотря на это нам, судя по всему, дали самый отвратительный номер из всего отельного фонда. Номер был на 5м этаже в другом подъезде (не в том, где ресепшн). В подъезде установлен лифт, с трудом вмещающий 2 людей. так что если вас двое и у вас есть чемодан - то ехать придется в 2 захода. Но это мелочи жизни. Было бы хуже, если бы этого лифта вообще не было. Комната: - в комнате было грязно и пыльно. Даже на фото отеля видно, что швы между плиткой грязные и черные. - в ванной установлена очень старая ванна с гидромассажем. По ощущениям она не мылась последние года два. Слив в ванной работал ТОЛЬКО если достать пробку (которая должна как-то открываться-закрываться или регулятором, или нажатием). никаким способом её положение не регулировалось. Ванная не проветривалась, в ней был запах застарелой сырости. Один из двух подголовников ванны был разломан. - холодильник был выключен и закрыт - из-за чего на момент нашего приезда из него неприятно пахло. Способа включить его я не нашел. Класть в него продукты для завтрака - не решился. - крючки штор не держатся в стене: когда я закрывал шторы - один из них выдернулся из крепления, при попытке снять с него веревку, которой были подвязаны шторы Общее ощущение от номера - отвратительно, но но на 1 ночь сойдет. До этого мы были в этом отеле 2 раза - и оба раза все было на 5. В этот раз и 2 много.

This is a weird place. I wanted to be near the opera house so the location was good but the rooms face an interior courtyard that usually crowded by what looks like extras from a Bergman film. In black and white. But that's not the weird part. What weird is that they have clearly tried to do some nice upgrades to the rooms so, for instance, I had 2 different ones and both had giant jacuzzies. The first one got me excited after 3 weeks of traveling and I spent 30 minutes filling it only to find that the on button wouldn't stay on. So much for that. Get this though. They install jacuzzies but there are no towel racks. And no bottled water. Even the cheapest hotels usually include a bottle of water. You do NO want to drink this water. The second room had a massive jacuzzi with space for 2 people lying side by side. Bit the shower is installed in such a way that you have to stand in the jacuzzi to try to take a shower. I don't think these tubs are designed to take that kinds of concentrated weight because there are multiple cracks in the bottom. But it didn't matter because it turned out that the shower head was broken. This place is fine if you get a good discount but you can find much better places in Kiev for their full price range.

Good location and very FRIENDLY personal. Much better that regular hotel for less amount of money. Thank you

Pros: The apartment is spacious and nicely renovated. The location is excellent, right in the center next to a metro station. Cons: This is a a group of apartments on a floor of a large old run down apartment building. You enter through a courtyard of other large old run down apartment buildings. The apartment is a floor up from the courtyard, but because the building is on a hill, the apartment is actually on the ground floor next to parking lot, so there are cars parking right next to the bedroom window. There is also a stairwell adjacent to the bedroom window where people are constantly hanging out, smoking, and talking loudly so it feels like they are in the room with you.

It is not a Theatre, it is not a Botique, it is not an Apartment, it is not an hotel. The pictures are very deceiving and English is not spoken.

This hotel is all about which room you choose. I had stayed here before some 3 weeks earlier and the room was genuinely amazing which prompted me to book there again. The room I was given this time was clean but very old and tired....it certainly needed renovation. Bathroom was sizable, clean and modern which somewhat made up for the disappointing rest of it. Small kitchenette and laundry facilities are very welcome. Bed was comfortable but all in all I was very disappointed having stayed in so much better at the very same hotel only a few weeks earlier. Staff are courteous and the location is second to none. Close to all amenities and services....Maidan with all it's life is just 5 minutes away. Metro is just outside and there is a local shop right in the complex for convenience. WiFi is strong and rooms come with a safe. If you have stayed in Kiev before then you should expect a dark, dirty and generally non-maintained foyer and lift area which is completely usual so don't be put off....it is not indicative of the room. When you book here make sure and get one of the renovated rooms on the 3rd floor....you will not be disappointed.

First of all I've booked a basic room and I'm writing this review on the full understanding of what a basic room entails. Obviously other apartments might be better. positive: The room had all required neccessities, and even a ironing board and properly equipped kitchen. The presence of a jacuzzi-style bathtub big enough for 2 was also surprising. Very good location neutral: The mattress was very unconfortable, but so were other mattresses I've experienced in Ukraine so that might be a local thing. There was only 1 main light and no bedside lamps. There was only a light curtain for the window so it was already very bright early in the morning. The reception is hard to find in the dark because you cannot see the sign - trust Google maps and your instinct. negative: The bathroom smelled like sewage for the entiretly of our stay. When we entered the apartment a smell of fresh paint and something unidentifiable hit us and stayed with us for approximately the next 24 hours. Complaining was useless as the receptionist barely spoke english and it was midnight and we just wanted to sleep. the next evening we used the jacuzzi. Unfortunately the drain or overflow leaked and upon finishing we had about 1cm of water on the entire bathroom floor which we had to clean up with a towel. All in all I can only recommend not to book the basic room! Personally I consider my negative points unacceptable even for a basic accomodation at this price range.

I don't know why this place has a low rating. I have stayed in many apartments and hotels in Kiev. This was the best. With its courtyard and all, you would think you were in Paris or Brussels or near Nice. You walk out of the arches and you are in the center of Kiev but removed because the courtyard separates you from the street.Its all there. restaurants, museums, and metro. The room was immaculate inside. My only thought was that maybe someone was having a bad day or were just unhappy people when they reviewed the place. It is wonderful.

The room is very nice, spacious and new. Small reception with staffs speaking limited English. The apartments are in a building complex. From the entrance of the complex it was dark with limited lighting and a homeless slept there. The square in the middle of the building complex was always with some people and some looking dodgy. Very limited or none lighting for the lift lobby. Lift kept closing the door even we pressed the button to open it. My mum was locked in the lift for a few seconds with the light out. So creepy! Light right outside the lift and the apartment(the same light) kept gleaming which made it even more creepy. Location is very central. a metro station is a stone throw away. The main shopping street is a 5-10 mins walk. A few restaurants nearby. Currency exchange shop only 1-2 mins walk away.

Maxim the manager was very efficient and helpful! Cleaning staff were great although no English but we were still able to communicate. I thought my room had washer and dryer- not- so staff washed clothes and hung to dry in room for a small fee. The building is nothing to write home about especially the entrance from the street! Then walking in the dark to building door from building door - you go in and up concrete stairs to narrow, very narrow elevator. From elevator I had to open a locked door then walk up about 25 stairs to my room. Thank goodness the manager carried my suitcase at check in and check out He was great and perfect English. He also arranged taxi for me when checking out!
