The Samaya Ubud

An incredible experience at such a peaceful, relaxing boutique all villa resort with amazing service and staff! Cannot fault anything about Samaya Ubud. Terrific food, service, private villas with pool and stunning views/environment. Staff that truly care about their guests.

The Samaya Ubud is amazing! The staff are wonderful, friendly and so polite. The food was delicious with the highlight being daily afternoon tea (changes daily) by the peaceful river. We loved our villa which was private and comfortable with everything you need….we didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend the cooking class with Roy including a morning visit to the local markets before learning to make some delicious Balinese food. If you are considering a stay at the Samaya, especially a romantic/ couples only then I say do it! We will definitely be back.

This resort is magical! The staff are all incredibly gracious and truly want to make your stay enjoyable. Our villa was very well appointed and included many amenities. It was immaculately clean. The food was delicious and the menus covered multiple palates. We enjoyed perhaps the finest couples massage we have ever experienced at their beautiful spa! We were fortunate to be staying there during Nepye, the day of silence. They made accommodations for us even while observing this sacred day. We have never been treated so kindly as we were while staying at the Samaya in Ubud, Bali. From the grounds crew to the manager-each person worked to ensure that our stay was perfect!

Awesome treatment and caring after us on all occasions. The room service was quite quick and nice. Very calm and relaxing! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful five nights at the Samaya Sayan. We chose a Hill View Villa and the view across the Ayung river to the fields and temple opposite was simply beautiful. The villa itself was fabulous, spacious, really really comfortable bed and sofa, amazing bathroom facilities, and outside cabana for lazing. Full points to the pool, those turquoise tiles!!!. The staff were just lovely. Always ready. and often anticipatory - they seemed to know just when we decided to walk down to the river - the main restaurant is located there - and were outside our villa in one of the many electric powered golf buggies. And, when we went to the breakfast restaurant, we would return to a villa that had been thoroughly cleaned and tidied. Speaking of breakfast, there was a wide selection, including Japanese and Indian options, but I stuck to poached eggs - 5 stars - and nasi goreng - five stars. We also did a cooking class with I Gede Roy Kirawan. I think I am a good cook but I learnt some techniques from Roy, and very much enjoyed the visit to the produce market prior to our class. Roy provided us with the recipes, and we can source almost all of the ingredients in Australia. Food at the on site restaurant - great location on the bank of the Ayung - was very good, and the in room dining options were great, I cannot recommend the Samaya highly enough.

What can I say the Samaya was outstanding! The villa, food, service the spa service was amazing the staff could not do enough for you. It’s such a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.
