The Samaya Ubud

This was the best hotel we could have picked for our honeymoon. We stayed in two different places in Bali but this was the best of them. Sevice was excellent, never had to wait for drinks or food which we have experienced at other hotels. Being able to have lunch in the room was a real surprise, we enjoyed the chill and calm of the hotel! The free walking and clicking tours are a must! We got to see so much more of the local area through this. There’s a complimentary shuttle bus which takes you into Ubud and back. The food was amazing!! We tried so much of the menu, and the breakfast choices were to die for! I cannot thank the hotel team enough, we will definitely return again!

Wonderful people and surprisingly great food. Excellent location. Property is beautiful and a good value due to some deferred maintenance. I highly recommend.

My partner and I spent five nights at the Samaya Ubud Resort during a recent holiday in Bali. It is a stunning property located on the side of a hill in the jungle/rainforest. There are picturesque views in whatever direction one looks and this applies particularly to the largest river in Bali which cascades down the hill and which is best seen from the restaurant. Making one's way from the bottom of the hill to the reception area could be challenging, but for buggies/golf carts which are laid on to transport guests to and from that area. Amongst the facilities is a lovely spa. Breakfast is available in a restaurant one level below reception and afternoon tea and dinner are served in a second restaurant in close proximity to the spa and guest accommodation; the quality of the catering is high. The accommodation itself comprises luxurious villas which are decadently spacious, designed and maintained to the highest standard and scrupulously clean. To the rear of each villa is a garden containing a pond and gorgeous vegetation, while to the side is a swimming pool and covered lounge area which afford complete privacy. But the jewel in the crown of this resort is its staff. Without exception, every member of staff with whom we came into contact was helpful, efficient, enthusiastic, courteous, charming and professional; the reception staff was particularly outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and they made whatever services that they provided appear to have been a pleasure, rather than a duty. The Samaya Ubud Resort is a truly extraordinary venue for a relaxing and memorable holiday in Bali. Luxury, of course, comes at a price, but this property represents value for money. Would I recommend staying here? Unhesitatingly. Would I return? In a heartbeat.

From the moment we arrived at this wonderful hotel we were blown away by every single detail. Our stay was intimate with breathtaking views in a villa providing pure luxury. The food was superb and the service sublime. Moreover every single member of staff could not do enough for us and they always had a smile on their faces. We cannot recommend this little piece of paradise enough. Furthermore it is tucked well away from the chaos and mayhem of Ubud Centre and it is a place of calm and tranquility. ❤️

First time staying in a private villa in Bali and will not be our last. The Samaya is everything you could possibly wish for. From absolute privacy of your own villa to the exceptional food on offer and the most amazing scenery and setting you could possibly image. The two restaurants to dine in have the most incredible views and scenery which encourage you to stay just that bit longer and enjoy the surroundings without feeling like you are rushed. Every single staff member was ever so polite, helpful and happy to chat with. A big shoutout goes to the restaurant manager, Komang Agustiana for his attention to detail, kindness and the conversations we had together. We arranged this package through Luxury Escapes and believe me, it is luxury all round.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The villa was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We have come away with a new found appreciation for Bali, especially Ubud and definitely recommend this hotel to couples who want a luxurious experience in Bali's cultural centre.

The villa was awesome. Closer to main marketplace in ubud. Staff was very helpful and friendly .

The swimming pool is very deep , 1,8 meters which makes it unusable by non swimmers and floating breakfast.Breakfast and dinner options were limited . The staff showed limited knowledge about activities around Ubud.
