The Samaya Ubud

Beautiful hidden gem, excellent views. The breakfast is especially good. Staff is extremely good.

Excellent stay at the Samaya Ubud. The level of service provided was absolutely first class. Every single team member went above and beyond to make our stay perfect treating us with warmth and professionalism. One of the highlights of our stay was how thoughtfully and thoroughly the team accommodated my husband's gluten-free dietary needs. Traveling with dietary restrictions is challenging however The Samaya team put him completely at ease. The restaurant team took time to understand his requirement and the Chefs prepared exceptional food with care. From my perspective the crème roasted coconut-pumpkin soup was the best soup I've ever tasted (and I've eaten a lot of soup!). There are so many reasons to return to the Samaya however I'd return just for the soup. If you are travelling with dietary needs we highly recommend the Samaya Ubud. It was the perfect retreat!

The Samaya helped me to organize my beautiful proposal to a beautiful lady. Candles by the river, fantastic food, just gorgeous. They went above and beyond to support some of my more custom requests for hair and makeup, a photographer, and music. Every moment of our special evening was perfect. And she said yes.

It’s a very beautifully set hotel in private villas on a hill. The breakfast area is exceptional because you can look out onto a rice terrace with a forest view and mountain/hill in the background. The villas themselves are incredibly comfortable and clean. The staff are amazingly kind and attentive, ready at the willing to complete your wish! Felt a little bit like a queen! The food at Swept Away restaurant was good with a nice setting. Free shuttle into town and pick up.

It’s a little bit set back from the town and traffic can be a killer to get to and from. However if you are aware of this then you can adjust your timings accordingly so not really a problem.

The spa was excellent, the staffs are dedicated and heart warming! The manager , Ms Ariani is excellent in ensuring customers are well taken care off! The therapist , Surini is indeed a talent! Thank you for taking care of me.

We recently stayed as part of a 2 week trip to Bali. We stayed in 102 which was immaculate, had every amenity we could possibly need, the most beautiful garden and our own pool. From we arrived we were treated like royalty, the staff continually went out of their way to help or make our stay even more memorable. Golf carts are needed for transport to breakfast, when we called each morning, the cart was outside within a couple of minutes. We ate in the restaurant for dinner one evening and had one of our best meals in Bali, it was fantastic. We joined the cooking class during our stay, which included a trip to the local market. This was a great experience and allowed us to see fruits, vegetables and food we would never see at home. As part of the cooking class we got to eat all the food for lunch which was beautiful. The views over the rice fields are stunning and make an incredibly picturesque backdrop for the hotel. The only negative we had, was the location from Ubud. Due to the crazy traffic, it took almost an hour to get to Ubud the day we travelled in. But this is obviously not the fault of the Samyaya and didn't detract at all from our stay. Overall a true 5* experience!

One of the best properties I've been to. The hospitality and luxury is top notch. We are staying in Villa Number 103 right now and let me tell you, it's like staying in a nest surrounded by nature. The staff and management are very well trained and they know how to please their guests.

Staff was very caring and friendly. Resort was wonderful, well equipped. Free shuttles to markets a winner. Quiet of the jungle brilliant. We were there on a Luxury Escape and the experience was delightful. Would go again in a flash. Own pool for each villa and food excellent.

We travelled as a family of 4, 2A and 2C. This is a beautiful location with huge clean rooms and private pools. It caters as well for families as it would for friends or romantic couples. The views are spectacular. The restaurants and food are amazing, and nothing is too much trouble. All of the people working there are friendly and happy. The golf cart to get you about if you need it is great. Please do book on the hotel walk as it really is a proper walk with a lovely knowledgeable gentleman that shows you the beauty of the surrounding landscape including the river, rice fields, flora/fauna and jungle - it’s not just a boring hotel tour. Special thanks to Ayu who was fantastic and all of the people at Swept Away. Efficient shuttle service to Ubud too. The location is great for central Ubud and also many of the must do places such as Bali Swing, Monkey Forest, waterfalls. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our whole stay (1 week) was nothing short of a delight. The only sadness was leaving. We felt that we were saying goodbye to cherished friends! We had a hill villa with a pool, which was glorious. The setting for the whole resort is amazing, only just surpassed by the friendliness and attentiveness of each and every member of staff.
