Ambassador Thermal Motel

Front reception pleasant Arrived winter day inyo a warm Unit .very nice .unfortunately Stayed extremely hot all night Due to thermal pipes under floorvof unit .

The best part of this property is the location. We were lucky to have a unit on the lake side so had a beautiful view. The property is very tired, but was really warm and was pretty well equipped with aircon (needed to cool it down as thermal heating a bit much), decent TV, good linen and adequate kitchen equipment. Staff were pretty helpful. One thing I didn’t notice till the day we arrived is that checkin ends at 8, we didn’t make it in time but they were still able to accommodate us. Parking is first come first served (and very narrow) but we were always able to park even on holiday weekend. There is no lift or ramp so accessibility may be an issue for second or third floor rooms.

Excellent accomodation. Very central location and fabulous views of lake Rotorua! The spa pool was fabulous. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was so clean and spacious. Would highly recommend

Old motel complex, for the price the room was okay however the outside facilities could do with extra cleaning and maintenance. Thermal pool room was quite rundown

Enjoyed our stay, unit was clean and appeared to be updated throughout. Didn't get time to use the pools or spa even though looking at the spa was a temptation. I liked that even though we were close to shops, restaurants and event centre the motel was in a quieter area without traffic noises.

Good location, dark rooms , poor lights, kitchen good

Firstly the associate who checked us in was courteous and professional. He was able to arrange for an early check in which we really appreciated. However we could not over look the dirty room,outdoor areas and the pools. As we had chosen this hotel to experience the thermal pool, we just couldn't use it as it was not clean. I would like to caution other guests that the photos are not accurate and if you want to experience thermal pools you may want to consider going elsewhere. In closing the motel is in a great location and easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions in Rotorua.
