Excellent room and facilities. Went to Sports Bar for some food and told that about 7 items were not available. Not good enough. Fruit selection at breakfast very poor. Menu selection not really to my tastes. WiFi kept dropping out in my room 209

Beautiful setting and amazing staff

The room was really hot and no air conditioning. There was a fan but it just recirculated the hot air

Stayed at Old Thorns for a friend’s 50th birthday celebration on 13/06/2026, and the service we received was outstanding from start to finish. A special thank you to Jennifer on Reception, who went above and beyond to help us. She kindly allowed us access to the room an hour early so we could decorate and prepare everything for the birthday celebrations. Her helpfulness, professionalism and willingness to assist made a huge difference to the day. We would also like to thank Reiss (apologies if I’ve misspelled his name), the Restaurant Manager, who was equally fantastic. He managed to find us a restaurant booking at short notice, organised our orders efficiently, and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. The reception team, waiters and waitresses were all amazingly friendly, attentive and genuinely focused on making our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent. The ribeye steak with chips and peppercorn sauce was cooked perfectly, and the spicy leek soup was absolutely delicious. Thank you to everyone at Old Thorns for helping make our friend’s 50th birthday such a memorable occasion. We will definitely be returning.

The only thing I didn't like this time was that there was stuff taking off our table, and he was on the dance floor drinks and my friends' 60th tiara😩

We went to the 70’s disco inferno night booked with an overnight stay. Check-in at reception was excellent, room excellent,entry into the ballroom organised very well, food good and hot, band excellent. Security and staff were 1st class would highly recommend a visit. Slept well after dancing all night!!!
