"worst service"

it took forever for us to check in and check out. there is no organization upon checking in. i had to complain first before being entertained by the manager during check in. upon check out, i had to wait for 10 mins. the bathroom sink was very slow to drain!!! i called the housekeeping but i dont think they fixed it. toilet paper was not replenished!!! i had to call twice before they bring the toilet paper. Overall, i was super DISAPPOINTED with the hotel!!!

"Good"

As a couple from Perth Western Australia this hotel was not good. I should have taken note of the reviews I read. We had the cold showers, ants in bathroom and confused communication issues with the hotel staff. We were initially put in a small room without a balcony overlooking the noisy road. I was grateful that they moved us to overlooking the pool however it really wasn’t our thing with music blasting out of speakers across the pools much of the day and into evening not particularly relaxing . The wave pools are really for kids. My luggage was lost for an entire week and the hotel staff were not of much help, I asked for assistance and left notes with the concierge but really had not real help and they were all very dismissive. I finally dealt with one staff member on the final night who assisted me with a letter. The thing that caused me absolute disgust and actually bought me to tears was the fact that they had a lion tied up in the lobby of the hotel. The Lion is tethered by a very short chain to the fence ALL DAY. It can hardly stand and when it does it sways on its feet because it's paws look damaged they are kind of twisted inwards god knows what has been done to them. The men wipe it's mouth with a towel I can only assume because it is drugged and is drooling. How can people think this is ok. It is cruelty to animals and the tourists that think this is acceptable need to educate themselves.

"Great hotel but service is an issue"

Great hotel but service is an issue and the internet is horrible. I called about the internet many times and they said they would reset and send a tech an 90 percent of the time no internet and no tech. They advertise they have wired and wifi internet but their wired did not work the 4 days I was there and the wifi was horrible. Wouldn't stay there again because I have to have service and internet.

"ok but not great"

We paid for a room with two king size beds but only got queen size beds. The staff said it was the fault of hotels.com. Also the room AC did not work that well. The are lots of extra activities (ie walk thru aquarium; wave pool; pica with wild animals et) but everything has an extra charge!

"very close to the beach. great for the price pt"

The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. The beach was about a 5 minute walk away. The breakfast spread was GREAT. The only reason i rated this place a 4 was because WIFI needs to be better. At this day and age, we need to be connected and though the point of a vacation like this is to unwind, I find that it should be an option. Other than that... it's a really great hotel for the price point.

"Needs Work"

The hotel did some things right such as the free breakfast. Large selection to choose from and tasted not to bad. Although some of it was cold and was obviously left overs from night before. The room I was told would have a kitchen, but a small sink and tea pot doesn't make a kitchen. On top of that the refrigerator didn't work, and the ac didn't work very well. Over all the room needed a lot of things fixed to be worth the price I paid. On the other hand the wave pool was great except they shouldn't allow suffers in the pool at the same time.

CHECK-IN-Poor communication/inefficient/slow.When1of7 reservations not immediately found in the system,I was flustered when asked about vouchers.I had communication with R Guerra Central Reservation,no mention of vouchers.TOWELS-CHARGE FOR STEALING-P2000!Old thin dirtiesh white towels, not worth stealing much less ransom money!They treat guests like children, suspect thieves!ACCORDING TO MGR:WILL ONLY REPLACE (2)TOWELS PROVIDED,WILL NOT ADD TOWELS.Guests must wait for replacement towels.SERVICE-PATHETIC-replacement towels came 20-30 minutes later maddeningly blood curling!INADEQUATE A/C-units in 7 rooms not blew cool air to be comfortable.NO WI-FI IN ROOMS.REVERSE DISCRIMINATION: Person cooking omelets saw people waiting.It happened I was the only Filipino in line& was my turn.When 4 Koreans out of line cut in front of me, got theirs cooked, and another 2 so,then I spoke out: ‘It was my turn and why she was cooking for people who were out of line!’CHECK–OUT 1 ½ HOURS ADD INSULT TO INJURY-staff INVENTORIED EACH 7 ROOMS.A missing 1tsp & 1 cup which evidently picked up by housekeeping and never returned to the room caused delay checking us out. But, staff’s incompetence blamed on us? INFURIATING!Foreigners did not wait long but,we were suspect thieves!VOUCHER-Shouldn’t staff arrange to obtain voucher from Hotels.com than harass guests? I had to allow contents of my e-mail to front desk to find & print what they were looking for.Unbelievable!
