The whole stay was really good, food excellent, I had the best scampi and chips I have ever tasted! Staff very friendly and helpful. Very Dog friendly. 🙂

It just needs a little updating, but a great traditional British pub. A great stop over Inn.

The Barleycorn is situated in the middle of a village, and it was lovely to listen to the wood pigeons burbling/cooing through the window. The rooms are not above the pub, but behind, and consequently quiet; ours was nicely furnished and the bed/mattress comfy. The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming. The main disadvantage to the location concerns traffic, such as Macdonald's lorries, that seems to race along the road: it makes finding somewhere to safely walk the dogs a little challenging. We needed a location that was close to Ludgershall, and Collingbourne Kingston was convenient.

Extraordinarily friendly landlord and all the staff. Really felt comfortable and at home from the beginning. The siting was 100% ideal for what we wanted to do. The timings were flexible and suited us perfectly. We look forward to returning within the next two or three months.

Nothing needed improving with the service nor friendliness. The work is ongoing to improve the grounds but even so, it has a charm which cannot be replicated.

It’s a relaxed country pub with friendly staff and excellent food. The location was brilliant for us too.

People were friendly, room was clean if a bit tired.

TV was not working properly and the toilet was not flushing. The rooms are at the back of the pub car park and bins.

The actual rooms are separate to the Barleycorn inn pub itself so there’s no worry of being kept up late. The twin room we had was decorated nicely, super clean and had been thought about down to the small detail like sanitary products being available and a portable, standing make up mirror (something I always miss in hotel rooms!). Breakfast was also lovely, filling and catered for me being a vegetarian !. Really happy with this overnight stay. It is a lovely little place and the owner was warm and talking with us over breakfast too, an added little bit of comfort!
