"Pub-b&b opposite Battle Abbey"

Decent room with comfy bed, view over street towards Battle Abbey. Lovely pub and restaurant downstairs. Great cooked options including my favourite of smashed avocado on sourdough toast with poached egg and chilli, if you wanted it.

The stairs up from the pub entrance to the rooms smelled musty and when 10 of us returned from a party we had problems opening the front door - you need to pull the door before turning the key (hopefully a sign will go up). Apparently cereals included in breakfast but they forgot to tell us and we only knew because we overheard it being offered to someone else.

This was my 4th time staying at The Abbey. It is clean, comfortable and very welcoming and dogs are welcome which really matters to me. Also the food is delicious.
