SureStay Plus by Best Western Montrose

Friendly staff, decent place for a short stay.

This hotel is in serious need of attention. There were dirty sheets laying in the hallway, the public bathroom was filthy, the rooms smelled and were not clean, the doors to the hotel were unlocked, the breakfast was unacceptable, the ice machine and jacuzzi were broken. I would never stay at this hotel again. Should be taken off the expedia list.

Our room was very nice. Got a suite. The kitchen had dishes we could use. The couch was comfy. The staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating.

1. No Elevator, we had to go up and down a very steep flight of stairs. The staff did carry our bags up. 2. Hot tub down, and that was one of the reasons we chose this place. 3. No linens in the room- but the staff gave us all we needed 4. Ice machine broken- we bought ice, but the little freezer of the frig hadn't been defrosted in who knows how long and we weren't able to really use it. 5. Bed broke-staff quickly fixed it. 6. Breakfast- 1st day the orange juice was lightly colored water and food wasn't very appetizing. Staff said "The truck is supposed to come today" 2nd Day- the waffle mix machine was empty... staff said they weren't going to make anymore even though there was still and hour left for breakfast. Seemed like the staff spent the whole time we were there apologizing and making excuses.

The Mexican restaurant across the street! They didn't have any rooms though.

Walking up the stairs to my room. Had to have desk clerk fix my lock so no one could get in. Small eating area. Ice machine was broken.

Awful. Checked in, went to room. No toilet paper in the bathroom. There was, however, toilet paper stuck in the eye view in the door so people couldn’t see in. Went to go lay in the bed, sheets were still dirty with hair. I’m sure this room was never cleaned after last guest.

Walked in room was somewhat clean but had a bad odor. Found a trash can full to the top of the previous guests trash. Gross. Staff needs to be in some sort of uniform as you could not tell who worked there and who did not. Could be a little more professional.

My wife called at 8:30 pm on Sept 25th to ensure our reservation was valid. We arrived at 10:15 pm on Sept 25th and was told we did not have a reservation. I had the printed copy from Expedia. The receptionist lied and was untruthful. We got our money back and at midnight found another hotel. Stay away from this property!
