The Royal Oak

Everything I was looking for in a place to stay the night.

The painting in bedroom 3 was split into three. One was upside down and another was not level with the other two. It triggered our group's collective OCD. It wasn't a real problem in the grand scheme of things though.

Location was sound

Loud night after a long travel but it's a pub so expected a bit of noise, part night and was very loud. Couple laughing and shouting outside or room at 3.30. For ages, got up and asked them to move on. Fair play they did.

The pub itself was so nice, the accommodation was very clean although the bunk bed and double was very uncomfortable could do with replacing both. The room itself was very well laid out.

As above the beds need to be replaced as both very uncomfortable andnokd

Friendly atmosphere, good staff

Showers in top suite were awful. All lower rooms excellent and clean, but top suite good value, but a warm, shower that actually worked would of been nice. ROOM 6

The room was OK. It was upstairs and clean.
