Aktaion Hotel

We had a very pleasant stay here. Our balcony had a nice view out over the harbor and the room was very large and had A/C. The location of the hotel is perfect and you can walk to anywhere you want to visit in this city. The bathroom was good-sized for a modest priced room and clean. The water was plenty hot. This hotel offered an excellent value for our short stay in Monemvasia; we would stay here again.

very nice rooms and clean with a beautiful view of the sea and close to the castle. Very good service and important for me it is pet friendly... So i enjoy my holidays with my friend and my dog together

Nice view from balcony.poor breakfast

We found our three bedded room very spacious and comfortable. It was a corner room and the two balconies gave us spectacular views of Momenvasia. The bathroom was adequate. The location was excellent, just across the road from the bus stop for the bus going to Monemvasia, and at the start of the causeway for walking there. There is a large public parking lot behind the hotel, so no problem parking. We paid E5 extra for breakfast, and that really wasn't worth the price. The coffee was cold, and everything else sparse. The smoky reception area/bar was where on normally ate breakfast, but we had to sit outside. A couple travelling with us had a double room, which was tiny, but they found the smoke inside the room so bad they contemplated sleeping their car. Our room was around the corner from the stairs so we did not have that problem.

We enjoyed our stay here except i didn’t realize it was a smoking hotel. The room had good insulation around the door, but still a detectable door. Great view from the window and easy parking right outside in the parking lot!

Great value accommodation right next to the bridge that leads to Monemvasia Island with beautiful views of the island and the small harbour. Staff were friendly and gave me an upgraded room with an even better view. However all rooms here appear to have a balcony with views either over the island, the harbour or both. Rooms were of a good size, they have air con and were very clean. There is free parking right outside and it is right next to all the restaurants and bars yet the rooms are still very quiet. Would highly recommend and great value for money.

Problem accepting Amex

We had a big room with two balconies with view over the harbor and the island. The breakfast was small but okey. It was close to beach and restaurants. The curtains and some other things was broken, but it was clean and good value for the price.
