Old Pier House

we liked everything about our stay, it started with the location which is close to the hoe and the city centre / barbican, parking in the street outside b& b , a very warm welcome from the landlady, all rooms clean and beds comfy map and advise for restaurant's in the area no restrictions on times to return at night with front door key. and a very hearty breakfast meat and vegan option. the next time we are in plymouth will be staying again.

Host Wendy was lovely and chatty. The full English option breakfast included in the price was great. Room was very clean and shower good. Bed was comfy. Street parking was available nearby and it was a good location to walk along the sea front to the Barbican, although wouldn’t have been as advisable if wet as it was 20-30 mins walk. This is an old Victorian terraced house and so wouldn’t necessarily suit those looking for modern decor and facilities, but we had a good stay at a great price!

Stayed for one night not been here before but had an idea of suroundings lovely welcome from the lady beautiful house had no problems at all and the bed was to die for so comfy . Nice and clean with a nice shower then in the morning she didnt disappoint with the breakfast oh my that was so nice she thought of everything and more would stay again

Really comfortable and Wendy made me feel very welcome Only downside was my shower didn’t work and communal shower did not work

A very welcoming stay with Wendy in a warm, good-sized accommodation. The breakfast choices were endless and phenomenal; enough to set us up for the day. Wendy could not have done more for us and we will not hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely house the lady is so nice

I just love staying in this guest house. Wendy is a wonderful host in every way. The accommodation has such a lovely atmosphere. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast table is magnificent and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. The guest house is just a short walk from town and the Barbican and the most beautiful views of Plymouth.

Went for son’s graduation and it wasn’t far from the hoe and lovely chip shop on corner from where this place is.

Really friendly B&B, Wendy was very pleasant and helpful.

An hour before checking the landlady of the old pier house rang to say their was a problem with our room and she had to move us to another B n B! I think she double booked!) she moved us to The Rusty Anchor. They were obviously doing her a favour as they clearly weren’t expecting guests as it wasn’t very clean at all.We tried looking for another hotel as it wasn’t nice but Plymouth was extremely busy this weekend so nothing was available. Nearly slept in my car! Not very good service to change us at the last minute. We paid for breakfast but this wasn’t offered at the The Rusty Anchor not that we would have eaten it. Couldn’t wait to come home to a clean house!!
