We had never been to Plymouth before my husband and I. I thought about staying at more expensive fancy places . But I have to say we definitely made the right choice. This is a hidden gem that even locals did not know about. We asked several locals where it was and they did not know It is hiding in plane sight. It is 2 minutes from the beach 2 minutes from the best chippy in Plymouth. 2 minutes from Plymouth sound/ the Hoe and the gorgeous view. We arrived from London early we called in and Wendy bless her said of course come and check in early. You would never get that from the big hotels. From beginning to end a great one night stay. My husband had the best nights sleep and he never woke up for early morning prayers. Well done Wendy for being so lovely and accommodating you are a true gem. You followed social distancing you did all the right moves and I have to say well done to you and your team. We felt very welcome and cared for. I

The lady was friendly when we checked in. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 8 30 am today but wasn't. We had to checkout after breakfast. We couldn't find the lady anywhere. I called her phone but got no answer. We knocked on the door and nobody opened. We were worried about her health, we weren't sure if she was ok since she wasn't opening the door after we knocked. We contemplated calling in the ambulance. In the meanwhile she appeared and was miffed saying she had to run up the stairs with a broken foot which is now going to pain all day. This is not the kind of unempathetic response I was expecting from her.

If you are looking for a romantic break or want to spend time in your room, this is not the place for you. This is perfect for one night just for a place to sleep. The house was clean but very dated. The bedrooms are small and the bathroom fan is extremely loud. The location is good for going out to the centre for drinks, close enough to walk but far enough away that there’s no noise. you can park outside, but do have to pay.

What a amazing lady 75 yrs old and her gust house is amazing so friendly and I would recommend it fab stai
